Hi, recently I’ve been getting a bit tired of using DPS Tempest so I decided to mix things up a bit. I’m mostly going to be using this in all HoT content and maybe higher tier Fractals.

The above build is what I intend on using. I’m already set on this trait set up(I however will swap out Air for Water from time to time) but I’m kind of lost on the stat set up and what sigils to use.

I’m mostly trying to max out on healing power and offensive stats so that I don’t hit like a noodle. While I’d like think the current set up should do just that without being too costly, I’d still appreciate a second opinion.

Also, I’ve been considering swapping Dagger out for Scepter from time to time as well. Mostly because it gives me access to Phoenix and Water Trident for even more Vigor and Regen uptime, along with pretty reliable burst damage.

A while back, I tried to create a build that has a lot of healing power and support and some solid defense while doing as much damage as I could fit in, but I couldn’t find any power based options that came anywhere near condition builds.

I made one anyway, just to change it up, and it’s fun, but it definitely does a lot less damage than my support tank condi build.

Just keep in mind that power gives you a lot more raw damage than precision. With the linked build, adding power gives almost twice as much damage as adding precision, even accounting for the precision to ferocity trait (would be slightly more than twice as much without the trait). This obviously isn’t including crit procs. A fresh air based build of course needs to have a lot of precision no matter the cost. Also I don’t think 1200 healing power is getting sufficient use if you aren’t taking water. You’re missing out on 2.0 healing ratio (~4 auras) from swapping into water, plus aura sharing, leaving you with only the shouts and the warhorn skills to throw heals (and buffs) at people.

Anyway, given that trait setup, and given that zealot’s is kind of expensive, I can’t really make any changes, unless you want to drop some healing power. Just make sure to have lots of rice balls on hand. They cost nothing.

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it a lot.

I’m not going to lie, I considered running a condi support build because all I would have needed was Apothecary’s. However Condi Ele in general doesn’t quite appeal to me as much as power.

The Zealot’s trinkets are really only there because they’re much easier to get thanks to the new maps that came with LS updates. I really only planned on using them because I thought they’d be the best stats to use for a good mix of damage and healing. Given what you’ve told me, I’ll just forget them entirely and try to find a good mix between Cleric/Magi’s stats.

Zealot’s is a good mix of damage and healing. It just doesn’t offer any defense. and is more expensive to make. Zealot’s is twice as much damage as cleric’s which is twice as much damage as magi’s.

Ugh, forget that reply, I wrote that half-asleep after I got home and left out a bunch of things. So I apologize for that.

Anyway, instead of explaining what exactly I was going to change, I’ll just show you the build I settled on.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this lay out compared to the other one. I hit just enough HP so that the last pulse of WtPA heals for a 1000, which was actually something I was trying to get(healing in the 4 digits not exactly at 1000). Plus I’ve got some good power damage going and just enough crit chance that in any group scenario where something like Spotter is present, I’ll get to 60% with Fury. I swapped out the Leadership runes too for Durability because I’d prefer to have the 125 Vit than the extra 10% Boon Duration. I’ll swap out Water for Air, but only when I’m running general open world PvE. For anything group related I’ll swap back to Water.

So what are your thoughts on the new one? Is there anything you’d change to make it better?

I run a similar build (Earth/Air/Tempest, d/d) for open world, but I use celestial gear. For the most part, you’re practically unkillable. You can solo most champs and even the tough ones like Balthazar or mushroom queen have a hard time killing you. But I’m not sure how much team support a build like this really has, since I mostly use it for solo work.

But hey, if your friends die at least you can take the bosses out yourself!
