I find that it travels rather slowly for a teleport.
While this may be true, you have to keep in mind two very important things.
It’s an actual teleport.
Not any of that “has to be able to be reached by walking” bull.
AND
You can cast it below water while looking up to teleport ABOVE water onto ledges.

Uh oh. Engineer rocket boots are currently unusable underwater because they could do that.

I believe those were disabled because it was bugged and Engineer’s could accidently launch themselves WAAAAYYYY too high (think skybox)
I liked that I could use the bubble teleport to get past an overly complicated under water puzzle as I could just point the bubble up and it teleported me on an island so I could get the treasure. Weeeeeeee.
I don’t like it, when im busy blasting things out of the water and I click the wrong bubble, I tend to end up with my head out the water. It really messes be up.
I like it when I’m being chased by multiple mobs. I will cast it in one direction and then head in the exact opposite direction so I can elude them once the bubble pops. Sometimes it doesn’t help at all, sometimes it saves my Asurian butt.
Air Pocket is overpowered. 1200 range teleport on a 12 second cooldown. Let’s be consistent here.

As for how strong this is, it’s barely faster than using just swiftness (like 2 meters extra).

What he means is this thread is 7 months old and was very dead. Necroing a thread = posting in a long dead thread, bringing it back to the top of the forums.
As for the skill, it’s useful for getting away. Cast it in one direct and go the other or fight a bit, just to warp away

Have you seen what mesmers speeds can do under water?
Makes this air bubble look like the now kitten RTL ;p
P.S. The bubble kitten es me off if I use it, then open map & when bubble pops, kitten map closes :$

If it was impossible to get anywhere you couldn’t get to normally with it, it still would have been nerfed.
Yeah it’s good for casting away from your direction of travel. I do miss my out of water shadowstep though, it was nice ducking into the water to use the abilities on land targets :p
