Didn’t there used to be a trait that would increase your speed by like 5 percent every few seconds while attuned to air? I do not see it anymore. Maybe they changed it to another type of speed boost but I remember there being something that would slowly increase your speed overtime while attuned to air.

You get a few seconds of super speed now when you attune to Air.
Afaik the old one was bugged and thus useless anyway so no loss here.

Yes, One with Air now grants 1.5 seconds of 100% speed boost. I found the old One with Air much more useful in PvE. I started a thread earlier, and there was some discussion about it:

That trait was awesome before Ele was epic nerfed. My game release build was d/d with 30 arcane and 30 air. I started and finished fights in air. I would aggressively pursue anyone straying from a zerg or roaming. That extra speed was incredible at the beginning of fight. It often delayed the enemy while they oriented to me, during which I blew RtL, Blink and Mist Form to keep them confused. I stayed in air until I started taking big damage.

not really, you needed to stay quite long in air for it to be effective… and when you consider how easy access to swiftness ele have, its not needed… new version of trait is more fight/defensive oriented and its quite usefull for roaming too … in PVE, just pick glyph of elemental harmony and VIII Inscription from air and you have infinite swiftness on any weapon set

Yeah, I prefer the older version, even though people who have never used it keep telling me how ineffective it was. It had way more utility than I’m getting out of the new version. And yeah, I could totally change my build for infinite swiftness.(I use the Staff AoE Boon Bomber, which allows for this.) But there are times when I don’t want to change to an Arcana or Air-heavy build. I wish they’d split traits into PvE and non-PvE versions, like they do with skills. In PvE I find the old one more effective. I can’t even break aggro with the new one.

There have been a few threads about this with people unhappy with the change. I would have to say after using the new one I prefered the old one too. It didn’t seem broken to me before like some say. The Ride the Lightning nerf was bad enough already. This One with Air change makes it even worse in my opinion.

They really should have changed Zephyr’s Speed to this 1.5 seconds “superspeed” thing instead.

I’m honestly surprised people liked the old one with air. 5% faster for every 10 seconds means sitting in air attunement for 50 seconds for the full effect, and then you wouldn’t be able to switch out without it resetting.
If you’re going to go without a fight for that long you may as well just change a utility to signet of air.

As far as swiftness goes, you can get 73% up time just be using Elemental Attunement + Windborne Speed (10% boon duration from arcana). So perma is really easy on any build.

Also I think you meet this should have replaced Zephyr’s Speed, not Zephyr’s Boon. Replacing Zephyr’s Boon would have been a huge nerf.
