Hi anet you say that you look at all the forum posts or something so; So the patch is coming soon and I would love it if you could make arcane, and conjure skills better. They are cool skills but because how they work and take up utilities that you need as an elementalist if you could do something like this

1. conjures: to me this seems easy 30cd 60 for elite no cast time and no extra weapon on ground im not a computer programmer but it sounds easy to me.

2. arcanes: just lower cd they are really long for how little they do. (3blocks 60sec cd? huh?)

yay possibly usefull now.

anyway hopefully you think about this I would not mind other things but I don’t want you to have to read a huge wish list lol or be too picky.

1 goes against what conjures are meant to be: Supportive abilities with which the Ele can lend its power to other players of his group. Plus 30s CD on usual conjures is stupid because conjured weapons already last a full minute.
The only thing I’d consider is lowering the cast time on FGS (elite) because it’s so long it’s almost a DPS loss to use it.

2 Arcane skills have a property that many overlook: they always crit, no matter how much or less percision you have or if you have weakness or not. They can be insanely devastating against squishy and fast moving targets, because also none of them (except the heal skill) have any cast time. They can be used in any sticky situation you can imagine.

I would rework conjures to be ele only but make it more useful like if you conjure you lock your attuenement but there are no charges on conjures and if you drop them they go on CD.
Arcane are good but the CD´s to long. they loose because even traited evasive arcana is often better and other utilities too. The trait for them giving 33% CD reduction might be suficient to be an option.

Conjures being instant cast would help them a lot, although I think it’d be nicer if the majority of them actually offered useful skills. For example, Ice Storm (and by extension, the Frost Bow) used to be great before it got nerfed because of PvE abuse.

This would not surprise. Anet is constantly simplifying to make class balace. The seem not to care diversity. Problem is its not a MOBA its an MMORP where diversity matters largly for long term exitement. Just selling new elite that alow one build is not the right way for a game like GW2.

As is, the fresh air staff build that utilizes conjures is just shy of the dps from regular staff. See https://youtu.be/oyE3T09ByuI for the rotation. If they decide to buff conjures, it would need to be paired with nerfs elsewhere to keep ele in line with other classes in raids. The suggestion proposed by OP would completely remove one of the downsides to this build: that you need to pick up your own conjures to keep up the dps rotation. This is not necessarily good or bad, but should be considered when discussing changes to these skills.

Yeah I thought about CDs but with scaling their damage i wanted to push them into a more burst category and with a tweak to the trait giving a stacking percent damage buff reduced CDs might be a bit too much but that’s always numbers to play with. I also wanted to give them a chance to possibly be used in pve with the %damage without having it be a permanent thing due to short CDs (so use it before the highest damage portion of the rotation to get the most out of it)

It would also be nice if they made picking up the conjures not interupted by movement or instant. Because there is no indication your picking it up until it’s picked up and that’s quite frustrating to move or cast a spell just a moment too fast.

(48 CD on Arcane shield is quite good, but it’s not gonna save you against someone who knows what the skill does. If they lowered it to 50s tho, then the 20% would lower it to 40s, which would be an amazing skill).

I completely agree with your point of view tho, as it is completely valid.

I completely agree with your point of view tho, as it is completely valid.

Oh I see it the opposite way, all the other blocks, evade, active defenses need longer CDs. This coupled with some power creep culling. I think active defense is way to strong right now across basically everyone but ele. (now for the time being they can totally reduce it so it’s ballance with everyone else but I think continuing that direction is very unhealthy for the game)

Biggest issue I have with conjures is it locks out your weapon skills and when u swap it out you loose it. Ele’s don’t have a weapon swap so why not make conjures function as a weapon swap, you keep the same cool down and duration but once the ele cast the conjure allow them to switch between it and their main weapon. I think this will make conjured weapons very desirable. They can even keep the cool down swap on weapons if its too over powered.

Signets are not too bad. Glyphs need to be a lot stronger, arcanes needs to have lower cd and there needs to be an elite skill, and conjures need to be duration and not charges with boon effects (where you can have pulsing stab when holding one) making conjures weapons more into a fake transformation effect.
