So, I’m trying to raise an Ele for the third time… never gotten very far with leveling them, and with upcoming class changes (and me being unable to keep up with info on a profession that I never really had) I’d like to know the impressions of the playerbase now on what an Ele is getting and what it’s losing with these changes.

Thanks in advance!

Actually, the only solid information I could gather is that Ice Bow is getting 4 nerfed.

This explains alot of the changes they were thinking about implementing.

All in all, the changes are good and opens up a ton of builds. Many eles in this community arent too happy with the changes because it changes up our meta builds, making them less affective.

In general, staff is getting a buff by making blasting staff baseline and allowing players to run lightning rod as well as investing into water for heal/condi removal. Expect xxx66 variations.

D/D relies heavily on 2 skills: evasive arcana and elemental attunement. They want to make players have to choose between the 2 by moving boon on attune to grandmaster. We lose out on added boon duration from stat bonus as well. While you will still see d/d and d/f eles running arcana, it may no longer be the best options given the decent changes to earth and air.
Scepter eles are mad that they lost their damage buffs in air attunement. The changes to air will reward players who can time combos better rather than giving a static damage boost. Tempest defense will synergize well with sc/f eles that knock an enemy down before they use phoenix on them. One with air is getting its duration doubled. That will play a huge role in how these kinds of builds will play imo. I like the changes at least.

You will find many eles running aura share builds as well, depending on if they include auras from skills/runes/blasts.

I can think of at least 4 new builds from the changes mentioned, all which looking promising.
