Any non Celestial D/D ele build for PvP?
From a pvp percpective it wouldn’t be terrible, but not optimal either. The way d/d ele is currently played is to be a bunker that dishes out good on point damage. A power d/d ele would have to play as a roamer, similar to thief or mesmer. A thief and mesmer is just better overall for that type of function in a team since they have stealth. A d/d ele using air would actually be pretty mobile, but you would have to build for something like murauder amulet to match a thief or mesmer damage so it would be too tricky to play in a high rank match imo.

Well for the OP, I’d recommend a fresh air D/F build since you hate the scepter. You really need a focus to survive in marauder, without obsidian flesh, you’re just food for a thief/mesmer/warrior. But with “One with Air” I think your mobility would actually be quite good, despite not having ride the lightning.

This is what I came up with for a fresh air D/F build off the top of my head, but I don’t have that much experience playing it, so I can’t really tell you how great it is. Maybe swap out earth for water for extra condi removal and healing, but I think earth is reasonable so the extra protection from burst and lower earth focus CDs (phanta takes earth on his S/F builds).
Or you can always take glass staff and just roam around meteor showering people, but that build is even riskier to play. Overall DPS ele is probably best used as a fun soloque build, as it’ll instadie in actual tourneys.
