I spent all the evening asking other players about their builds. Right now I’m a useless dps elementalits with D/D and, sometimes, S/D. I make some changes to my build… but still die a lot of times.
Before december I wasnt so bad So, i came to the forum, start reading… But I have more questions than before!!
D/D is still useful?
30-0-30-0-10 is useful or is a nonsense?
Half berserker and half knight is suicidal?
I just wanna try a dps elementalist, I have daggers, scepter and staff, open minded and very noob. So much noob, so dead, etc.
Hey. A full zerker Ele in PvE can be hard to live on but is doable. Just takes practice.
If you want the best DPS, I recommend the Lightning Hammer build. You can even go Scepter/Focus for tons of Might stacking and extra defense.
Traits: 25/25/10/10/0.
Skills: Lightning Hammer, Arcane Wave, Signet of Fire, FGS (or Glyph of Elementals when FGS is useless)
Plan: Usually groups will LoS pull and stack, what you can do is once the mobs are pulled, start in Fire Magic go 2>4>3/5 switch to Earth, 4>5/2 (you have time to use Rock Barrier before Water Magic is available to switch to) switch to Water 5>summon Lightning Hammer and start auto-attacking doing some of the highest damage in the game. If there’s other fire fields, you’ll be stacking tons of might and constantly blinding foes
Dagger dagger isn’t viable anymore imo, solo for the reason you have to be melee.
Almost every build requires beserker amulet, if you don’t run it then you most likely won’t have enough dps to actually get a target down. Everyone has so much sustain now through differen’t traits, regen, boons and so on.
I actually tried running with valkyrie multiple times on a dagger build or even soldier, not even once I came close to the burst needed to down an experienced player. I’m not saying dagger dagger is bad, I see a lot of potential in it when played right, but right now you can’t put yourself in the middle of a fight cause you die within 3 seconds.
The main reason why I play scepter/dagger is because I can stay at range and some of my skills are instant, which allows me to perform more actions per minute.

Already read your post, but I cant see any dagger. Well, time to change, I suppose.
Try 25/25/10/10/0 and die a couple of times. Maybe because I heal myself late and with the wrong ability. Anyway, the hammer with this build is HUGE. Well, 0 arcane is also making the difference.
