Arcane Echo
I think it’s a fun Idea, that will have lots of unexpected consequences, really fun consequences.
and refuses to spare the life in return for the surrender at discretion (unconditional surrender)
of a vanquished opponent.
mmmm if i use glyph of storms lighting then switch to earth to use glyph of storms earth on the same spot does that mean i blind vuln stack and essentially melt the a hole in the ground at that spot? im cool with that i vote yes for this atleast for the lack of a decent ele elite anyway.

I just want to spam lava font all over the place as the Arcane echo would last for over a minute. Or cast two meteor showers. Or two times Ride the Lightning.
There are so many useful applications for the skill.
Or two times obsidian flesh.
over all we have good skills but bad elites. Only downside to our skills are the high cooldowns and an arcane echo would fit well plus make the gameplay less predictable and more interesting.
in GW1 Arcane Echo was the sole reason why I went with E/Me in pvp. Was really fun as an earth-air spike elementalist. took people down from range in 8 seconds which isn’t as fast as I can do it in GW2

I think it’d be a great elite to replace FGS (removing Flame Axe and making FGS a normal conjure as it should be (while maybe toning down its passive stats and removing the on summon damage to make it fit in with the other conjures)
Yeah it was a mesmer skill but arcane became an Ele thing and wards (which were ele skills) were co-opted by Guardians so.. it’d work
and being able to copy 2 copies of meteor shower or 2 copies of static field or 2 copies of some other skill could be game changers, where FGS currently is not.
So double meteor storm?
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

I do have to say, double blackout for those pesky warriors/assassins, cry of frustration for FoC meta, backfire and confusing images for harassing healers and about one thousand other combinations made people cry. Stop making me remember the good days of when Mesmer was actually viable

This is what I suggested on the other thread regarding Arcane Echo.
Name: Echo Signet
Passive: Reduces Attunement Switch Cooldown by X number of seconds (Stacks with Arcane Trait).
Active: Copy the last (non-auto) weapon ability that you used.
CD: 90 (72 with Signet Mastery) seconds
When you activate it, the skill icon switches to the last spell that you used. So if you used Meteor Shower, your elite skill would be replaced by Meteor Shower which is then, “held” in your elite skill slot until used. While holding an ability, you lose the passive effect of the signet, and then using the echo’d spell or switching weapons starts the Cooldown timer.

That would be fun and cool, but sort of insane lol. I mean double fire grabs? Think it’s a little too high on the power creep side.
I’ve thought about it too.
Arcane echo would allow you to recast the last ARCANE skill you cast, putting it on double the cooldown of the skill you echo’d. This would be far easier to balance, and adds some interesting mechanics. Do I go for the arcane shield echo and take the huge cooldown for what it is, or do i double spike with arcane blast and make excellent use of on-elite procs such as lyssa.
Could add some bonus effects on the echo’d arcane, such as double blast on wave, cleanse on shield, respectable damage on brilliance, unblockable on blast and +2 charges on power.
Edit: Very similar to leblanc’s mimic from League of Legends in other words.

i would honestly rather keep the axe the might and and extra field is much more useful to me than a couple of movement skills that deal mediocre damage.

Maybe not the firegrab but for a fresh air burst build adding in an arcane echo’s lightning would make it quite alot of fun
Imagine being able to use an extra blast finisher without needing to plan your atunement swapping as much.
Yep that would be cool.
Also: copy magnetic grasp, cast the original on a target and the echoe’d one on an other in the opposite direction, activate both magnetic leaps to tear your character in two

Eles, mesmers, and engineers all had a skill like this at some point in beta. It was taken away from them all before launch. I only played with the Ele one which was available in the first beta weekend, it was sooooooooo cool. Basically let you save one weapon skill as a utility to use in a different attunement, which actually made condi-builds kind of possible. But we can’t let elementalists have build diversity now can we?
