Precisely, do they need something like Updraft and Earthquake? to strong cc in meele to fend off?

We can placing fields with strong and soft cc, or fields for dmg, or delayed dmg at location and that doesn’t deal with them. It just make labirynth that they pass and our defence end. We are more like playing type of games called tower defense. While our base that minons come doesn’t have self defense. And our fields that we put in way that minions are supposed to move are just skipped by them.

I like playing tower defense, but give something from scepter and staff that will protect our last heart before hordes of minions will butcher it.

I’m talking about playing vs players, tower defense vs minions is still great.

Scepter can equip focus and dagger for fend off, but I definitely should have something on its own.

Staff. Just must have something like that.

Whatever it will be strong cc, invu, blocking, disengage. I would welcome it.

Staff is fine because its not meant to be a 1vs1 weapon and the few defenses it has can really help to escape in most situations:

- windborne normalizes your speed and then gives you swiftness →
- static field can stun-interrumpt chasing enemys → earth
- magnetic aura helps to evade ranged slows & atacks →
- unsteady ground blocks if someone is still following

and even fire (burning retreat) & water (frozen ground) have some soft CC to help you get into air or earth


Scepter on the other hand has nothing. Maybe Dust devil could push or FAR better: change the useless Shatterstone to something like ice-bows Deep Freeze?

Yess. It could be on target and single target use skill to inprision enemy in block of ice with long cd.

Phenonix could have launching back enemies.

Trident could have knockback or knockdown.

Rock barrier could be ground target something like unstedy ground.

I’m not saying to implement all, but at least one.

About Staff Burning Retreat:
Quickly roll backward, leaving behind a line of fire that burns.

Damage its deals is laughable.
Burn from that isn’t something special.

Tooltip could info that max range of that evade is 650.
Tooltip doesn’t inform that burning is applied to foes that aren’t already burning – its definitely something that it must inform.

It would be better to change:
Damage increase by 4 Times.
Remove burn application.
Add cripple application (whenever it does have cripple or doesn’t should no mean).

Change description:
Quickly roll backward, leaving behind a line of melted ground that cripples.
Change animation to differ it from line of fire.

Yep, I know its for synergy with traits for more dmg vs burning. That is why that skill is more to keep burning all the time rather than dmg directly from it. But still I would prefer my suggestion.

Btw its leaves six fire lines, maybe tooltip could info about it too. They could info about many things.
