So I just hit 30 on my Asura Elementalist and dropped my 10 SPs into an Elite Skill. Decided to run an underwater heart and realized I couldn’t use my Elite underwater. No biggie, I thought, I’ll just see what Elite I can use underwater and save up for it.

Turns out none of the Elite Skills for an Asura Elementalist work underwater, meaning my character will never be able to use an Elite if submerged. That seems a little unfair.

Tornado (becomes Whirlpool underwater) is now usable in both PvP and PvE.

It was originally only available in PvP, but that issue has since been fixed.

If that does not work for you, then there is a bug specific to the asura race, and you will need to use /bug to report it. I can use Whirlpool on my norn Ele, and a guildmate can use it on his human Ele.

You mean the Whirlpool that now does 1/3 the damage while leaving you snared and incredibly vulnerable?

Whirlpool is still great in PvE for taking out groups…as long as you can live through the damage that is.

Tornado is 30 points, and you have to unlock at least two ten point elites.

It does 2/3 the damage, and it doesn’t slow you down.

A good way to avoid damage using it is to move around slightly, so you keep pulling the enemies (and thus disabling them)
