Trying to decide my race and wondering if radiation field is good enough to sway me towards picking Asura? Seems nice to lay down poison/weakness with the staff abilities etc, or will class abilities always be better? Thanks any opinions would be awesome.

In wvw I would use arcane wave instead, the shorter cd and more direct damage. In pve their are better choices for dps. Still technobabble help with cc in pve.

My first character was an asura elementalist just for the poison field, as I thought combo mechanic was fun and wanted to do it all. I can’t even remember the last time I used radiation field though!

Pick the race you want to stare at for the next 100 hours. I rarely see racial skills used.

It’s probably good ANet made the racial abilities less desirable. That way you can play what you want without fear of running sub-optimal.

Myself I run Asura on Elementalist — and pretty much everything since I just love Asura.
