I believe the base CD for them need to be reduced by 3-4 seconds flat.
Given how our concept is no longer “switch at the right moment” but rather “switch all attunements to be able to be on par with others, kida-ish” I think our core mechanic needs to brought up to par. It would give us access to some of our defense mechanics and alleviate our current survival problems, specially for staff and focus. Perhaps also bringing down the CD for some of the CC skill on staff and focus could help. Also fire #2 lava font needs redesign (necro marks with first initial tick double damage could do the trick), air #3 gust keeps missing 11/10 times, air #1 needs more base damage vs single target and same for #2 , less casting time or more damage.
Thoughts? Improvements?

Yeah, a lot of ppl would agree with you.
I understand that we have available double the weapon skills that other classes have and that needs to be compensated somehow, by raising the switch CD, weakening the skills itself or making them harder to use. But for god sakes, not all three ways at the same time !!!
In short, Quality over Quantity is what counts….
