[BW2][PvE] Tempest Feedback
Rebound doesn’t work for me, and even if it did, still isn’t good enough for an elite (or even a utility slot) and doesn’t fit the tempest.
We really need at the very least, the ability to dodge without breaking an overload. Ideally we’d have a stability bar for every attunement.
Really need more inherent defenses in order to take this over any of the existing melee builds.
I would take ‘protection on aura’ trait out of earth line and into the Tempest line, too.
True, Rebound doesn’t fit but at this point I doubt Anet will completely redo an utility skill.
And it does work, you’re maybe wasting it on auto attacks which hopefully is a bug.
Best bet would be to hope for some sort of huge buff so it’s viable for PvE in records or other scenarios. Doubt it’ll ever be of any use in PvP.
I think many of the concerns us ele’s have could be rectified by
A) Lowering the channel times of these overloads, 4 seconds in a fight not being able to use any of our active defense is a death sentence. If you cant interrupt a 2 second channel with large noticeable animation in pvp the ele should be allowed to get the skill off.
B) Allow for channels to start in an attunement and be able to swap out without breaking the channel, this already works with every other skill we have, why should overloads be different.
Rebound needs to be a duration, say 5 seconds so all skills used while rebound is active have 25% reduced CD so auto attacks do not remove the charge and remove the after cast before the buff is applied.
I’ve had a lot more fun then I ever expected playing Tempest in PvE this weekend. It seems to favor condi/support builds rather well and running Settler’s/Apothecary Aura sharing builds seemed to hit the sweet spot for me as I was able to heal and add to the fight with good condi damage. Plus, magnetic auras are a life saver vs all the projectiles out in Verdant Brink.
Things I would like to see changed:
- Attunement swap while overloading.
- Stability on Earth overload at the very least.
- Get rid of the channel on Air overload.
- Magnetic Aura and blast at the beginning of Earth overload

Earth overload is by far the most disapointing
id change it so it takes you higher in the air making oyu imune to melee dmg and ad a knockdown like slickshoes, remove the breakbar from trait, keep range cc as counterplay
