Hey guys,

I was just wondering. Since anet introduced the ‘ferocity’ change, I dont know which gear I should make anymore for my d/d ele.

I primarely run in guildraids + gvg’s, and I couldnt really decide whether I should use Berserker gear or Celestial gear. There have probably been quite some threads about this, but I couldnt seem to find some hehe. I also heard somewhere that celestial gear is probably receiving a minor boost to the other stats with the ferocity coming.

What do you guys think?

Berserker is still going to have the highest DPS out of all the gear sets. I’m personally sticking with berserker myself.

As mentioned before the overall changes will show a decrease of -10% Crit Damage across the board. And is specifically designed for the celestial class of ascended Armour/Weaps.

I don’t think berzerker gear is even an option for a D/D ele doing WvW, you’re just going to get exploded.
Maybe if you were a staff ele who sat back and nuked from a distance.

I have played this since I started playing WvW and I am being succesful doing it. At the moment I am trying 2 different builds; one with celestial and one with some berserker in it. Lets see the outcome.

DnD

Weapon Set —> Berserkers OR Soldiers

Armour Set —> Knight

Accessories —> Celestial

Food —> Lemongrass and stone

Elite —> FGS

Rank buffs —> fortitude and guard leech are a must

I would take celestial armor instead and put Cavalier/Knight/Berserker trinkets.
With bloodlust stacks,guard stacks you have perfect stats for WvW.
As for GvG…berserker gear?really?Unless you are so good at avoiding gank squads and doing perfect positioning every time i would say you are insane to use Berserker amror in GvGs.
