Last night I decided to play around with some of the new stat sets and came across marauders. I found that I only lose a little power but gained some extra precision. But I gained a good amount of HP too. Trying it out in HoT I find that running solo through the maps is much easier but I’m still able to dish out a decent amount of damage. Am I missing something? I’m no theory crafter so I would really appreciate the education. Also, any critiques/suggestions for optimizing the build more?

Note: I will also play a fresh air D/F build at times as well. For that I just swap Bolt to Heart for Fresh Air and Tempest Defense for Aeromancer’s Training. The D/F are also beserker stats.

So far I changed my staff and amulet into marauders and kept rest zerker. Running around in HoT is much easier with just an extra 2k HP. It’s just enough to give you time to recover or get away when you’re in trouble instead of that 1 shot to downed state.

Maybe I’d change 1 or 2 other trinkets to marauders if that ever becomes possible?
Getting too many marauders costs too much ferocity I think.

Yes marauders is a good choice. I wouldn’t bring that to Raids or high level fractal, but for casual fractal and open world, that’s pretty nice.

Good to know that it can be viable!

I was also quite interested into those stats, since I have a hard time staying alive with my ele.

I did a thread on reddit with some build ideas I had (but I was told that it wouldn’t be helpful) :

a “full marauder” build (well … not totally full)

and a build with some celestial mixed in (but I’m not quite sure that it would be that beneficial)

what do you think about it?

I would change your sigil for Force and Air. Geomancy is useless in a power build and Accuracy isn’t the best choice.

Maurauder and Celestial are pretty much the same for me in your case. You want Beserker, if you can’t play with it then add the minimum amount of marauder or celestial you need to stay alive and enjoy the game.
