Best D/D ele build, help
Best help you can get is advice to stick with your thief instead.
no :p just dont know go for divinety runes and go for bitclouds build (something that looks like) or go for a build with boon duration :o
I am going to help answer your question, but first I must say that ARM is actually trying to be helpful. Elementalist is not in a good place right now. I mostly do roaming/small group WvW and found that my fully geared Elementalist which I have the most experience using is my worst character. My undergeared, far less played Necro and Mesmer were so vastly more effective that I logged out in disgust last night.
That all said …
The most common setups are:
a) 2 Traveler + 4 Divinity = +50 Stats, +10% Crit Damage, + 15% Boon Duration
b) 2 Traveler + 2 Water + 2 Monk = +45% Boon Duration, +10 Stats, +2% Crit Damage, +50 Healing Power
c) 6 PowerType = +165 Power, +20% Might Duration
5 Stacks of Might > 165 Power, so if your boon duration keeps 5 or more stacks of might on you that would normally not be there active you make out. Mostly you want to go boon duration in small groups as the performance of your group is more important than your individual performance.
It really comes down to how you play and who you play it with.

D/D is taking more of a support role now. The only susbstantial dps/survivabilty I have seen is Xunleashed’s build. In group fights I typically go 0 10 0 30 30 and take all freeze duration runes and the glyph of elemental power. Perma-freeze on enemies near you. You can also take on aura share with this build. I’ve also had great success as a condition d/d (wish they would nerf perplexity runes already so I can make another video). Long story short, d/d is that viable if you aren’t bunker.

Basically conjure to water and use FGS. Use Arcane Wave to trigger Arcane Lightning for 15 sec. When 15 sec up, use Arcane Blast to continue Arcance Lightning. If FGS charge finish, you can pick up another FGS unless your team is a kitten. Then use LH. Before each fight attune to fire use fire 4 then go to earth 4 then 5.
