I notice eles have some amazing condi removal skill/traits. Since I’m completely unfamiliar with how the class works, could you help me understand the best time to unleash my condis?

What should I look for? Is there a skill that takes out condis quickly? Is it a trait? If a skill, is it channeled? Is there a distinct animation to look out for? A sound? Is there something I can interrupt?

Any information would be much appreciated!

The best time to condi burst is when they get out of water, and always check what heal are they using, if they have ether renewal just ignore them, they clear 9 conditions on a 14 1/2 sec cd (traited).

Burst right after water. Also, if they have Ether Renewal, keep applying conditions. They can’t cleanse it fast enough now. Trust me and test that. The heal from ER no longer can keep up with the conditions pressure

Yes, it can be interrupted. The animation has the Ele drop their head a bit and then like.. snowflakes (?) come out of their face? It has a distinct noise that sounds frosty.

The most telling part of the animation is that the Ele will stop killing you.

Make an Ele, go into the heart of the mists, equip the skill, and try it out.

Ether renewal is probably the easiest heal in the game to interrupt, interrupt it and the ele is free lunch to a condi build, which is why few eles run it. The animation is a 3.5 second channel with a very distinct sound of a dull wind and some static like sound and an animation of electric orbs circling the the ele as they glow a bit. Additionally since it is channeled skill interrupting it at any time puts it on full cool down.

Generally the condi removal they have is from water attunement, and often traited cantrips especially cleansing fire which instantly cures 4 on a 32 second cooldown (3 on 40 if untraited). So once you bait out cleansing fire, the next time they leave water they are pretty much completely vulnerable.
