It just doesn’t work for me. I find all the skills useless. I play staff ele mostly, but when I do melee i do dagger/dagger. None of the skills that warhorn brings to the mix are worth me losing the skills I have on my offhand dagger.

I agree, the whole forum seems just a pile of disappointment…. It would be nice if we at least had a dev post here to try to raise ppls spirits.

Well thats the GW2 forum in general. Most of the people that are at least somehwat happy about it just play the game and don’t complain here. The necroforum is a better example since they all whine about being underpowered in every game mode, when those that actually play necro with the right build are generally great. People that are always happy don’t feel the need to spout it on forums I guess hahaha.

Oh come on, you’re still going on with this? If I’m happy about something the devs did, I’m going to have the need to tell them so. Maybe not everyone, but if 99% of posts on forums, discussion in game, talking to freinds are negative I’m probably going to think there’s something wrong with the spec. Stop defending it and actually realize how bad it is, it will only help ele.

I’m not defending it, I’m just saying that the gw2 forums are a haven for whiners. And yeah theres tons of feedback, but people mistakenly beleive that the forums represent the overall feeling of the people that play the game, when its not exactly true.

And my official stance on Tempest is, that its a good start, but theres lots of room for improvement compared to reaper/chronomancer, especially in reagards to traits.

Pretty much everyone I speak with agrees that most of Tempest is just plain bad.

Some of it is ok: Aura builds, pull and boon share. But seriously, when you move foward all the warhorn skills are so slow they are actually moving behind you as you take all the damage.

This will NEVER be used as a melee weapon in a train and 7% extra protection or all the auras in the world doesn’t change anything, you just get rolled over and over.

Then the overload is an idea that goes completely against the class mechanic. It doesn’t even work. It’s just a bad idea. It should be scrapped and redone in another manner. They could start automatically after 20-30 seconds in combat while letting you cast your other skills.

I honestly do not know why you’re so into it, but that doesn’t mean people writing feedback on forums are whiners, they do not call you a fanboy either. I’ve said this before: Forums do not represent the opinion of the whole community, however it’s a good sample of people who main the class and their opinions, so you can build some assumptions on it. And if people everywhere else share similar opinion, you might as well think it’s the general opinion of the ele community.

Anyways, I honestly do not think tempest is a good start for anyhting. Imo it should be just removed and replaced by something else that’s actually new and has some potential.

Then maybe you should become a game designer and apply at arenanet!

Why you would consider running warhorn:

- A water field to pair with dagger, and which can be easily blasted by water 3 and earth dodge-roll.

Why you won’t want to run warhorn:
- As slow as focus, but no real defense.
- Less support than focus provides via swirling winds and invuln-heals.
- Less offensive support than both focus and dagger due to a fire field with 30s CD (way too long)
- CC that is too slow to be useful to disrupt stomps.
- Absolutely no mobility
- Pathetic damage
- Dead skills that do nothing: air 5, earth 5

Can’t say I’ve tried it to its full potential but it seemed OK. I think it’s going to be more of a focus type build for warhorn
