Q:

The level 15 Ele arcane trait “lingering elements” does not work for earth attunement.
If you look at the level 5 earth attunement trait “stone flesh” (gain one point of toughness per level while attuned to earth) it gives you 80 toughness at level 80.
We are being denied our 80 toughness for 5 seconds after leaving earth ever since game launch.

Why does lingering elements NOT work for earth attunement. Either rewrite the tooltip to say “every attunement except earth” or FIX it PLEASE.

Just nerf ele more and more patch after patch yet totally ignore this obvious bug that I’ve reported so many times.

Well if it was just this….

It’s pretty funny: if you make an ele with 10/0/30/0/30 for example, then your lingering elements will make only your flame barrier last for 5s after you swap out of fire, awesome isn’t it??

The truth is that Lingering Element has to be fixed, but not just for earth. It should apply to all attunement bonuses, without exception.

But I doubt ANet is going to work on the arcane trait line, unless elementalists become completely absent from PvP, seldom used in WvW and with no arcane in PvE.

There’s more things not working/not working properly. For example I was trying (after a year of inactivity) if the +% running speed with daggers trait was fixed —→ it wasn’t.
Glyph of Renewal still doesn’t work as intended (sometimes only heals downed player etc…). and there’s surely more I haven’t found yet

Thank you guys for posting, THIS NEEDS MORE ATTENTION PLEASE!!!! No reason this should be broken since game launch, they are totally fine nerfing our class though!

Actually there are plenty more bugs…

But the mods have decided to move the thread listing them to the bug forum

So there is not an elem in Tyria who is going to go there and read about them.

In the end it is more work for the devs since they will have many more threads about bugs, and not necessarily well maintained/referenced. At the same time the elem community has very little access to this. It’s a loose-loose situation

Yes I am angry because when they decided to make this move I posted right away to tell them to mirror the bug thread onto the bug forum instead of simply moving it.

And that post I made was even upvoted a lot by the community.

I’m so tired of this crap lol, I have been reporting and posting about this a few times here and there for a long kitten time, at least I could get acknowledgement from an anet person.

All, it is not a bug. That particular skill in Arcana was my crank in the beginning. It was not working all the time correctly. Instead of fixing it, they took it away completely one patch. They said it was overpowering, and that they would replace it with something else at a later date. I was shocked because people always said how much talent it took to cycle the elements effectively. I was a cycling master, and that was the thing that made it work. That was taken, and cd times were lengthened. Even back then they were talking about revamping the Ele, but, as we all see, nothing has been replaced that was taken.

tldr – It is not a bug. It is working as nerfed.

I’m not even sure that boon duration works properly. I run with more than 50% boon duration, so on 8s stab for instance, it should last at least 12s. I’ll check on that.
