[Build] Auramancer Tempest
It is a pity Karl is so bad at his job and spread the aura talents throughtout every single Traitline. Not being able to get the Earth protection trait or Arcane res trait sucks.
Well, you wouldn’t really want them all in one line would you? There would be nothing but Aura traits in it and you would have to choose between them anyway.

There are 11 traits that deal with auras, would you prefer there being an Aura line that has all of them and nothing else? That would be terrible.

Not sure why you think it is acceptable for the traits to be spread throughout 6 different lines, especially seeing as Water and Tempest are mandatory. 4 would be much better.

Well, combined with the traits and runes, you give allies 2 Might, Swiftness, Fury, extra 33% duration on the aura, a heal and apply weakness to foes too, that is not bad. If it is the heal, they get light aura and if it is Flash Freeze, they get 10s of Frost Aura because it stacks.

I can see an AIR, Water, Tempest Auramancer build being really good group support.
Air: Zephyr’s Boon -> Tempest Defense -> Fresh Air
Water: Soothing Ice -> Cleansing Wave -> Powerful Aura
Tempest: Unstable Conduit -> Tempestuous Aria -> Element Bastion- Will be allowed to Fresh Air your Air Overload for some decent damage options and you can basically spam Shocking Aura due to Unstable Conduit.
- Superior Rune of the Soldier will be popular to AE remove conditions. This should make up for the loss of removing on regen and regen on cantrip.
- Powerful aura will be nice if the shout auras double proc … once for the shout which is AE by default and once for Power Aura that AEs aura’s applied to yourself. That will be really nice with Zephyr’s Boon.
The problem it its Dagger, Dagger, or Dagger … by not giving a new mainhand the playstyle of the Ele hasn’t changed one bit. It’s not going to feel new, esp to those that have been playing the A/W/Ar auramancer all along.

Except that now you have 80% uptime of frost aura and 50% uptime (at least) of shocking aura, the others are situational. Plus the heal on aura, and shouts.
I think I’ll run with Feel the Burn, Flash Freeze and Lightning Hammer, so I can cast shocking aura, then rebound, conjure hammer, leap, overload Air for shocking aura again… etc. Seems like it will be fun and useful for small groups.
I was going to run condi removal on the sigils, but my group will have enough condi removal so I’ll run damage sigils instead.

How exactly are you getting this uptime? Are you using shocking aura on-cd, getting stunned on-cd to get tempest defense, and getting air overload to successfully channel every 10s (minimum time between when you can overload) without being killed? Are all those auras doing more for you than just having prot?
Also, you have no stunbreak. Are you relying completely on tempest defense to keep you alive when you are getting spiked down?
Playing in a team, not solo. So having the shocking aura on everyone dramatically reduces the damage, can also have prot from the WH on everyone.
Frost Aura gets 80% uptime, add it up. 7/26.75s (D OH), 10s/35s (“FF!”), 5s/20s (SI, assuming a critical hit on me). Shocking Aura was assuming successful channel of OA on CD and casting Shocking Aura on Dagger. Also Runes of Radiance give +33% duration.
As for stunbreak, was thinking I could drop “Feel the Burn!” for “Eye of the Storm!” but have guards for stab, prot, breaks and condi removal.
Anyway, just an idea on Tempest.
They are spread out so you can play all different types of auramancer like a conjure weapon auramancer with fire, water, and earth/air
Or tempest, earth/air, and water but with shouts
Tempest with water and earth running runes of the trooper will allow you to heal, remove condi’s and give prot and might
Fire, water and earth/ air gives you conjurer weapons might, fury swiftness/ prot and so minor heals though water it is up to you how to play

Note: Frost Aura was changed so the uptime on it will not be as much as previously. It no longer stacks in duration.
Radiance runes are still bugged and only apply the extra aura duration to yourself, and not to allies. Hoping this is fixed in HoT. (this is as of my testing with an aura share build a couple weeks ago, haven’t messed with it since then because of this bug)

Same, hoping it gets fixed as its pretty pivotal for lots of Aura duration.

Yeah, trooper does look quite nice for it as does /WH, looking forward to trying it out.
Elemental Shielding works differently to how the tooltip states it, I just checked the wiki, that is cool! I never knew. Protection is better than Swiftness/Fury for sure. You lose damage from Air for more support and Diamond Skin from Earth, different. Nice!
Also, I didn’t know that Sand Squall got a magnetic aura on it too. So. Many. Auras.

I would use other sigils in the cleric build. Intelligence comes nice and energy or healing fits too.
