This thread should probably be on the Elementalist forum.
But I personally would take the auto cleansing fire, more might, more cleanse and the burn is pretty good, better than the burn duration and small burn proc imo. Also, Carrion works wonders for condi ele, you can stomp other celes all day as long as they don’t have Diamond Skin.
I was once able to stack 11 burns on someone with an earth-water-arc cele d/d build, although it sorta requires you to have everything off cd and your enemy to have no defensive cds:
Kinda ridiculous though, burn needs toning down.

The problem is stackable burning….
I understand they did because they want to make condition specs viable on PVE with the release of HoT but 6 stacks of burning and 1200 ticks with celestial is kittened.
They should change stacking that one person can only stack 3 stacks on giving time after that it can only stack on duration then problem solved.
They should do that for other condition type also like bleeding from one person can reach only 25 stacks after that stacks on duration.
The boss can have 500 stacks if necessary but one person as intensity for burning can maximal 3 stacks, bleeding 25 stacks, etc…over the personal limits it only stacks on duration.

I am not sure about that, I think Ele has the most cleanse in the game, I am not aware that any other class has the same amount of cleanse as Ele.
So if you are not specifically fighting Ele, think about whole the crap lies around during a team fight. All the ring of fires, burning speeds, sometimes I am not sure which field belongs to which team.
Nobody can cleanse that amount of burning application, if a 6 stacks burning sticks to somebody for 3s while he is out of cleanse, along with retal and power damage, he will be wrecked.
Ring of fire is your friend. If you use it defensively you will stack 3-5 burning on them every time you attune to fire. Do things like throwing it down while you are retreating then the enemy has to run through it twice or waste dodge rolls. Its especially good if you are getting chased up stairs or something. Ele and bunker guard has so much passive condi removal that the amount of burn stacks you apply won’t matter in the long run.

I have a feeling the burning the way it is at the moment an incomplete implementation before HoT to see before the release how making condi classes viable in PVE. What is OP or not.
Burning can’t stay the way it is in HoT release.
I usualy die to burn more often then direct damage :-/. It´s strang when even rangers hit you with 1-2k of burning. The flame spitting eles or engis are a bit better to avoide.
Eles are amazing what they can do on their own.

I would make a few changes:
1. Ether renewal as the healing skill – immensely powerful at healing and removing conditions and with a fast recharge
2. Armor of Earth instead of the invulnerable form
3. Tornado as the elite to have an active defense against rampagers that don’t use resistance and the glyph for all other situations
Also try the earth trait instead of the fire one for a more bunky build (stone heart <3)

He is using a burn build so earth would pretty much get rid of all burn he could do, and the elite fire elemental and greatsword give great burns.
As a tip why not balthazar runes, or runes that increase duration? And for a build that doesn’t benefit your fire attunement only, I’d do runes of hoelbrak, and change a couple of the traits, and change the last trait to the fire field trait so blasting will give a lot of might. Might definitely is better for getting higher ticks, you need to worry about the duration.
