Now that Persisting Flames adds 2s duration to any fire field, this should drastically increase the duration of burning retreat’s field, which has a low base duration.

I wonder, and I can’t test it right now, but what would be the consequences of using BR followed by a Lightning Flash? Currently, LF (and walls) allow line fire field skills (and this includes fiery greatsword’s rush) to stack all of their damage sources in a single place. This is usually pretty strong by itself, but now that each tiny little hit can last 2 extra seconds from PF, what’s the final result?

Also, does One With Air have any effect or not?

I’m not sure if it works, but if so, immobilize/ stun + burning retreat/ rush + Lightning Flash + Persisting Flames (+ switching to air?) should one hit kill anything.

Anyone care to test it out?

Isn’t the overall damage a bit too low for that?

BR ticks for about 100 or so iirc.

One with air and swiftness do add to burning retreat. I do occasionally use BR against a wall to stack some decent damage when its up, but I don’t think its worth burning LF to get the same effect.

I will say, if you are an aura-mancer, you can have access to 4 auras if you take lava-axe:
- Magnetic grasp through Ring of Fire
- Shocking aura in air
- Frost aura in water
- Flame leap through Ring of Fire or burning retreat (on the flame axe).

Gives that build a little bit more potency and mobility.
