I try to learn d/d ele for pvp.
On Metabattle I have read about a burning speed/lightning flash combo: they say one should use lightning flash “mid-animation on top of one’s opponent”.
Must be because English is not my native language, but I don’t quite understand what they mean.
Should I start with burning speed and activate lightning flash then or other way round?

burning speed, then lighting flash. However, the combo is nerfed badly. Before, you can BS + LF for a lot of damage due to the fire field stack (like 2-3k extra). Now the fire field cannot stack anymore.

You can see Intigo use it at 0:24 (more advanced version because he uses “look behind” keybind to flash) and at 1:20 in this video.

The combo is really buggy at the moment and you will often rubberband back to the location to where you first executed the combo. So often times it doesn’t work.

Basically it means, while your character is dashing forward with burning speed, you pop your lightning flash so you can hit your opponent with both lightning flash and burning speed.

So yes, pop burning speed first and while you are doing the animation, pop lightning flash.

Is there any reason why 1st lightning flash - 2nd burning speed should be inferior?
I tested both and this combo seems easier than the other one.

Since I try to learn the class mainly for PvP I already think in advance what to do against archers, rangers or longbow warriors.
What is the best combo to get to them fast, forcing them into melee?
How can I travel the furthest distance in the shortest time?

Yeah this was another cool thing the ele could do that is now useless thanks to a nerf.

To add of the list of cool things we can’t do anymore, like summon an elite while in mist form.
