Hey, I’ve been a D/D ele for quite some time now, but I still just can’t decide what accesories I should wear
Im wearing power toughness vitality armor (Soldier’s ) and 2 berserker daggers.
I have a weird combination of accesories atm, but I’m thinking of getting berserkers accesories. Anyone maybe got some ideas or can give me some insight on what to get :P? And, I got 6 Monk runes atm, should I maybe maximize Boon duration instead?
this might seem nuts, but you have to decide, PVT or zerker, playing with boths give you nothing of each, unfortunately we dont scale well from PVT unless you are D/D bunker and as a dagger you cant really go full zerker.
Go staff zerker with some vit for the casual thief that makes it to the back and dungeons, if dagger then go full PVT, you wont even notice the difference with the right traits.

well, you want to have the celestial stat combos from ascended. but they are quite hard to get so i assume from items you can buy.
going with pvt/berz with ruby jewels is the optimal i think. mybe have a few more berz than pvt and let the rest of the gear be pvt gear. jewels and accesories are the gear that scale the best with crit dmg.
i’d suggest switching to divinity runes. if you can’t afford them, save. divinity runes are beast on almost all ele builds.
Best place to find crit damage is on ascended backpieces. exchanging 35 stats for 5% crit is the best deal you’ll find. It’s a good place to wear a berserker item (Or cavalier my preferred backpiece, pow/tough/crit dmg with toughness as the primary)
Hmmm I see, and, for the celestial stats, I have the 2 rings and Karka earring, but celestial seems bad to me. And I have the soldiers fractal backpiece, fully infused :P But, going Hybrin with PVT armor and 5 berzerker accesories is a bad idea ?
Eles work well with balanced stats, so going hybrid isn’t a bad idea. You can change your accesories to zerker stats one by one until you feel comfortable with your defensive and offensive power.
However, I wouldn’t dismiss celestial stats immediately if you’re looking for a balanced build. I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but I’m sure you can achieve just as good of extra offensive power with celestial jewelry, with the benefit of other helpful stats like cond damage &healing, and you still gain just as much crit damage.
okey, I think I know what im going to do, I’m gonna get berzerker accesories, and i already have the celestial ones, so, I could just swap and feel. I do kinda regret that i have a soldiers fractal back piece :P

Maybe I can help here. I’ve done a bit of math comparing Soldier’s and Celestial ascended trinkets, and as it turns out: they don’t differ all that much. If you dismiss conditiondamage, the soldier’s trinket wins out (especially when stacked). However, with the condition damage they’re pretty much equal dps. Equal enough at least to assume that Anet balanced them out much more closely than you would guess.
Assuming that the same can be said for the defensive part, the main benefit of the celestial trinkets seems to lie in the fact that your partywide healing will be stronger (though your own defense on average will be the same as soldier’s). And then there’s the magic find of course.

In another thread, I was shocked at a screenshot someone posted who had a significantly more total stats, as he was using celestial ascended compared against full exotics. Of course, the numbers were thinned across all stats so I would imagine it would balance out. The think the extras that come with celesial jewelry (especially crit damage) is worth losing a bit of PVT from soldier’s jewelry on eles.
It really seems like a wash to me. Kinda comes down to personal preference, Have more direct dmg and survivability due to knights/cavalier type setup. Or have it spread out between cnd dmg and healing power with celestial items. When you crunch the numbers they favor the direct method a little but I don’t think the math really accounts for the cnd and healing that you gain with celestial gear. It really comes down to which setup works best for your own style
