Can we change Dragon's tooth pls?
Nothing big, just allow us to use ice shards while shatterstone it’s activating, I’m sure this must be a bug, why else we shoulnd’t be able to use the water auto-attack while shatterstone is activating?
Finally can we add a condition to ice shards? Let’s add 3s weakness(1s for shard) to ice shards, this along with one of the improvement to dragon’s tooth, would make the set extremely good in my opinion
so you want to be able to use an auto attack while your casting shatter stone? does that seem right to you, essentially you are wanting to use 2 weapon skills at the same time.
the reason you shouldn’t is because you are casting shatter stone, no profession can use an auto attack during a cast time of another skill…

You can already use scepter air 1 with 2 at same time just cause the 2 is instant.
Shatterstone is worthless ability that makes no sence to cast unless it was made to not take any of your casting time…Ele state right now doesnt affect one bit the fact that shatterstone should be reworked cause right now its just a blank skill slot.\period
Maybe you would like to cast it if you know you gonna dodge immediately since its bugged and still fires when dodging…
But weakness on ice shards with this duration is too strong .I would preffer a small bleed chance or make it a 20% projectile.Also dt landing requires more skill right now and you can still bait melees in it and use it for zoning without ccs.

go test it.. there is 1 1/2 sec casting time, if you use 1 straight after 2 you have to wait for the cast bar there is nothing instant about it.. even if it was that would of been a bug..
Edit: also if you do it the other way round 1 then use 2 straight after it just cancels 1 for 2

Yes i know shatterstone is not instant.But..
1) it appears no casting bar when you cast it
2)if you get interrupted while you are on the animation or you dodge it still goes off and does damage
3)it has its damage cancelled when you use escape to cancell it manually
So it is really messed up and probably heavily bugged..
Imo it should be instant activation with the current delay of the effect..Or change the spell properties so its actually worth spending a sec casting it.
Scepter against dagger mainhand has some pretty crappy spells but it is saved by the advantage of range that it provides and the extra effecetive heal in water.
I wish after they reduce healing they get a close look at all the autoattacks and the “filler” spells like shatterstone.

I dont think there should be any vulnerability applied with Ice Shards, sorry for the confusion. I was just pointing out that weakness is not a standard water attunement condition and shouldn’t be made one.

well.. 2 sec delay/small radius/ground targetted..i really doubt you would manage to keep 4 stack reliably on your enemy Maybe its good in pve but i dont like pve only skills mess up with my skill bar in pvp
Also cd starts after the thing explodes which is also weird considering the other spells with delay effect dont!
Dragon’s Tooth just needs to drop from the sky immediately when cast. As you said, the AE is smaller and it isn’t ground targeted. I don’t feel it should have ground targeting though because we already have phoenix that is ground targeted. It would be painful using both skills back to back if they were ground targeted.
Phoenix is another thing that needs to be adjusted though. It should either explode where you target and fly back to you from there hitting everyone on the way, or simply fly like a bolt out of hell toward the target as trying to use it on moving targets isn’t possible.
Scepter has always annoyed me. Even though it’s supposed to be a weapon with a mid-range between dagger and staff, it’s more of a melee weapon than dagger is because you can’t land half the skills without being in on top of the target.
I definitely agree with some kind of change to Dragon’s Tooth. It’s great in solo PvE as an opener since most mobs just stand there waiting. Once you’ve dropped it, melee mobs run straight to you so you can Phoenix them while they do that.
Still useful but more likely to miss in mass PvE events, such as clearing a Temple in Orr. But once you get to PvP and WvW, it really is more a waste of time.
The animation time is what kills it. Watching the tooth hang above someone, while visually impressive, is painful. You can literally watch someone walk away from it while you’re still casting. Make it more meteor-like. It comes flying in almost instantly or something. At least then it would have a chance to hit.

What the hell are you talking about? Arc lightning is a channeling skill, that’s not a cast bar, you start attacking the moment the bar start to fill not at the end it, know the difference between casting bar and channeling bar pls( churning earth cripple nearby foes and that’s more of a charging skill)!
The shatterstone problem which doesn’t allow me to use auto-attack while it’s activating it’s a bug! Basically while the ice stone explode I cannot use the water auto-attack but I can use the other ones so what you are on about?…of course it’s a bug…I can use ice spike and water blast can be used while Ice spike land, that’s what I mean for bug, I can use dragon’s tooth and the flamestrike while it lands, I can do that on every single element on every weapon set except water scepter
Dragon’s Tooth is a skill that’s designed to miss most of the time.
If that’s not bad game design, I don’t know what is.
Yeah, ground targeting and faster drop would be nice.
Dragon’s Tooth is the only skill on that weapon that prevents me from using it. Everything else is fine. The fact that the Scepter is condition heavy is also another reason.
Dragon tooth needs a faster cast time.
Even if you immobilize your foe, by the time the dragon tooth hits, its a little to late.
Or they could change how that spell works into a two stage spell, with first click adding grab and pull , with the second click discharging the tooth.
Either way, that spell needs a rework in WvW simply because for a SnF ele, the largest damage spell is the tooth and having it broken is not really appropriate.
