Im 30/30/0/10/0 with full zerk gear and got similar damage like you but…
my ele got lower hp than your’s and overall lower survivability. Thats why I’m also interested in your build and gear, if you dont mind.

I’m planning to release a tutorial for my guildies, elementalist in WvW, I’ll will share it here, I’m just waiting the 10th december update, because there will be some change in my build.

@Volfie, I’d advice you take V & VIII & arcana, VIII is a must have for all staff ele.
And thanks to 5 minor arcana, fury. You’ll have enough precision so you can change your zerk armor with valkyrie without losing dps.

I don’t think so.
In a fight we always get under 90% HP so… But I’ll try it anyway.
I plan to go 20 in fire, take the new “Cleansing Fire” trait. More purge condition + 3 stacks of might thanks to fire trait that gives +3 stacks of might with cantrips.

And perhaps only the blasting staff in Arcana, investing 10 inside.
I have to see if it’s viable to run without the actual V arcana trait.
(Sorry if I don’t know the english name of the trait, I’m French)

Don’t forget he also has Applied Fortitude and Borderlands Bloodlust.

Why do you use Signet of Earth? I use a similar build but I don’t really understand why you prefer this skill.

Really nice numbers.I belive we have fought plenty of times with your guild in the field the 2 times we found Viz in the league.But how would you fair in a smallscale fight?
Your vids are nice but you are mostly zerg-busting and defending keeps.You nuke the masses without them seeing you.I am definitly onna replace arcane wave with Frostbow though next time i am running

Ice bow is always fun – lot of numbers, unless enemy has stacked ton of retaliation, then it’s just suicide

I enjoyed your staff videos! I play zerker staff too.

Two Comments that may help you:

You should use Lava Font EVERY time before you meteor storm. It is Instant cast, there is no reason not to spam lava font at every opportunity. And it will give you another might if you’re 30 fire.

I’d also highly recommend arcane wave for zerg v zerg. Quick insta 4k on a group.

Cannot say the whole build at the moment sorry Running celestial armor yes.

That’s a standard combo. It is nothing new.

Still, it’s pretty kitten cool. I switch between D/D and S/D at the moment, but have been looking to get in on staff. Do you have link to the build/stats you use?

I’ve been playing DD a long time. Staff offer more global CC, more DPS, & more survivability in raid. The DPS is more static thought.
And, hm, it’s a guild build, sorry :S

The build you just linked is really nice for dps, but the problem is the lack of regen and toughness.
No 15 water / No 30 arcana & only 2300 armor is not enough.
I feel more confortable with at least 2700 armor.

You’re not doing ele any favors linking an extreme build which pulls off a single move every 3 minutes.

I’m sure I can make a vid where meteor storm hits some poor ambient bunny for 250k — oooooooooo big numbers!

My point is it’s cheese and there’s so much more to the class than meteor + tornado combos every 3 minutes.

So, look the video from 2:30 to the end, 6 minutes of a single fight without interruption

I am so interested in this build. I have always been skeptical about using celestial but it seems that you can pump out so much damage with it. Please share it!

You are fighting some T5-8 scrub pugs who never interrupt you, scared of pushing your group and pretty much let you freecast on them for the entire time.

I would like to see this build work in organized WvW or GvG.

How much offensive stats did you manage to get?

As stated previously, i’m already writing a long guide for staff elem, which include different possible build I’m using, trait & gear. This guide is for my guildies but will also be uploaded here as soon as it’s ready.
Sadly I’m running celestial armor and it will be nerf with critical damage rework…

Judging by the stats you just gave, I’m going to guess something like a 10 10 25 15 10 build? In the vid you had at least 15 in water since you got the heal attuning to water, you attuned to fire whenever you used ice bow 4, probably to get the effect of 10% damage while attuned to fire, the only plausible one to take if you only have 10 in fire. Judging by the attunement cooldowns, most likely only 10 in arcane. 3k armor? I use a similar mix of armors and it looks like it requires going into the earth line to get that high armor and not lose dps by investing in PVT/knights. 25 earth is my best guess since you can get 3 damage modifiers from that line. I’m guessing you got the last 150ish toughness from guardian’s trait?

If you want to watch the build while Zerg versus Zerg, look at my other vidéo, especially epidosode 2 & 3. But blobing is not my favorite thing.
Even if it’s à Tier 1 Server.
And They don’t interrupt me thanks to à buff called stability, perhaps :P

Going off of what we know so far, do you think celestial will still be the best route to go? I think that maybe half celestial instead of full celestial might be optimal?

Well, it’s really depends on the ratio Critical Damage/Ferocity.
If Overall stat of celestial are not buffed to compensate, I’ll probably forget it & take some Valkyrie armor + Toughness/Power/Precision

Sounds like a viable option, but the overall stats(minus power) will probably still be better if you go half celestial.

i have to agree. i’m sure you’re an excellent Ele, but you bring nothing to the community by posting here yet another “look how cool i am” video without sharing your build and armor. Most people won’t even want to copy it, but only compare to what they already use or use a variant of it that suits them.

I’ve seen most or all of your videos and they are all the same, with you sitting in the back casting met+torn with a few attunement changes while channeling. After your first video post, i’m sure people who cared about the videos would have saved your youtube channel to their favorites. we really dont need “fluff” here.
