I can’t decide what race I want my ele to be! I have a 61 charr ele that I enjoy alot but I also really like the asura and human animations. In YOUR opinion, which do you prefer, and why.
I’d also like to see some male charrs, humans, and asuras in light armor,

Charrs are too big for my tastes. I know you’re going the same speed but it seems like you’re going a lot slower. Asura are fun but I prefer my Human.

Go for the one that looks the best. You might regret chosing a race, only for its mechanics.

I love my Asuran Ele. Wouldn’t play any other race as an ele.

I would never go Asura, but it has nothing to do with looks or skills. Their voice is irritating, and I couldn’t stand listening to that every time I attune.

I love my Asura, but I kinda wish I was a Human. I prefer their animations somewhat and since the Ascalonian Potion thingy breaks on RtL / Mist Form I can’t use that.

Another thing to consider is the fact that most weapon skins are so tiny on an Asura that you need pretty big weapons in order to ‘appreciate’ them when you’re zoomed out and just playing normally.

Human female.
Animations are better, voices are smooth, loads of sets are good looking on them.
E.g. my elementalist. (still missing top of human T3… Im so poor actually)

I generally only play Asura, Human or Sylvari on more movement-focused professions because their movement feels cleaner, but I have a Charr necromancer.

I have a Char and absolutely love it for the following reasons, keep in mind I am 99% WvWvW.

1) Their voice and animations when I destroy, gib and dominate people is by far the biggest perk of going Char. Every time I switch attunements or gib someone is my favorite.
2) I have found some cultural armor that looks good and resembles heavy armor a little more and looks great, specially using Abyss color die.
3) Unlike human and Norn even though the Char are big their animations are still hard to make out so aren’t as predictable for countering skills.
