Class Balance (LOL)
It’s okay, Whirlpool got nerfed. There’s your balance.
Working as intended, we have lowest hp but we are the best dps class. oh wait..
Well they have to take the most damage because of their dps they get agro and they have more risk being in melee.
And I mean everyone makes a big warrior so they are a larger more easily clickable target.
So they should be able to do more damage because if you are big you are stronger.
Its quite simple really.
And it wouldnt be fair to force them into melee in order to do great DPS so they give them a rifle.
And its a gun and guns do alot of damage right?
And besides warriors are cool so they should be the best at everything.
This is the basic logic of most game companies.
What? Mytheos, there is no real aggro system in this game. They don’t take more hits because of their DPS.
D/D is in melee, too. Why is it sub-par to other melee?
They also get higher armor, on top of the higher base HP.
Or are you being sarcastic? In which case, ignore me.
Bug fixes, please, ANet? I think we need to start doing what they on LoL forums. “AENT PLZ” and “ELE BUG FIXES WHERE”
It is illogical to compare our “dps” to any other class, whilst Eles can be seen as having low dps skills individually, collectively we have double the skills than a warrior.
Thus with correct swapping and combos your “balance” can be meet, but only with proper play style as such your kittening is unjust.
Furthermore, the dps skills that most of your “op” classes have are long animation and can be dodged if you know what you’re looking for.
Learn to play, that’s all.
I understand why guardians have low hp, they have insane defensive abilities.
I understand why thieves have low hp(?), they have massive damage and lot of escapes (stealth etc).
I do not understand why elementalist have low hp. The damage is decent but not even close to as much as thieves for example. Our survivability is good but not nearly as good as some other classes.
My own opinion about elementalists; we are decent in everything. Doesn’t excel in anything except possibly aoe damage with staff.
I think we deserve a slight boost in base hp.

Some of them yes. Heartseeker, 100 blades for example.
Other combos are a bit harder to dodge.
I often fail to dodge the backstab that often comes after steal when there are a few enemies around me.
Also, when you manage to dodge a few heartseekers your spells will be on cooldown and you will be out of endurance. The thief can keep on spamming heartseeker though.
I am not sure how easy it is to dodge eviscerate.
I am sure there are plenty of hard hitting spells that are quite difficult to dodge.
Edit: I forgot about quickness too!
And please stop saying everything is a l2p issue. We shouldn’t need to be A LOT better than our enemies to beat them. Should be 50/50 if we’re equally good, no?

Theres a thing called quickness, u dodge those too? like instantly dodge take 0 dmg?
Also i do dodge some big hitters, the hardest thing to dodge is auto attack from rangers, fast long no aim needed 1k dmg per hit, impossible to dodge
