I’m currently using S/D with Lightning Hammer and Glyph of Elemental Harmony as my heal. Since I’m lacking condition removal I wanted to work something around Cleansing Water.

In theory the combination is as follows.

Glyph of Elemental Harmony (water attunement)
Air trait VIII: Inscription (water attunement)
Sup Runes of Dwayna #6
————————————————————-
= 3 different sources of the Regeneration boon upon heal

Together with Water trait XI: Cleansing Water this should remove up to 3 conditions. However it doesn’t. It removes only 1 condition from myself. Moreover, in this setup it doesn’t seem to remove a condition from my allies either, even though Dwayna Runes #6 applies Regeneration to my allies.

Is there an internal cooldown to Cleansing Water in PvE even though it’s not indicated?

Pretty sure they added an ICD on Cleansing Water when they messed with Diamond Skin.
You know, because that skill is worth it.

OP, in your current set-up I believe that you should be cleansing 3 conditions when using Glyph of Elemental Harmony in conjunction with Inscription, Dwayna 6, and Cleansing Water. There are some things to check in regards to this being a possible bug, and if it is you should post it to the bug forums.

  • Does GoEH remove 2 conditions in conjunction with Cleansing Water and Inscription? There was some to-do when the ICD on Cleansing Water was implemented making it so that it only cleansed 1 condition rather than 2. While this should only apply to PvP, it would be good to double check to see if it was working correctly in PvE.
  • Does the Dwayna 6 bonus actually remove a condition in conjunction with Cleansing Water? This is mostly a check to see if rune bonuses don’t trigger all traits it seems they should. (Aura traits would be an example of this.) Secondly this test should not use GoEH, rather is should use a healing skill that does not produce regeneration naturally. (Alternatively you could cast GoEH in an attunement that isn’t water)

There have been strange interactions when combining traits onto specific skills, so testing these separately might change the results. (maybe…its weird)

The dwayna runes don’t proc the trait, I’ve tested this before - runes are pretty inconsistent with functioning alongside traits.

It definitely worked with Inscription in the past, though - so I’ve got no idea what you’ve got going on there.

Dwayna Runes just don’t proc Cleansing Water, for some reason. I do not know why, it’s dumb. It should. Report it as a bug.

Also, for some reason, Inscription + Glyph in Water Attunement seems to just grant one gigantic chunk of Regeneration, rather than applying Regeneration twice, is my guess. I’m not sure why it does it this way. It also seems like a bug.

Overall, I’d suggest posting this in the bug subforum.

It has an internal cooldown of 5 seconds, so when it procs from 1 regen source it doesnt from the rest, so you only lose 1 condition, but I think they will change that with the new patch

This should only apply in PvP currently, PvE should still have no cooldown associated with it.

We can hope that with the PvP revert (the ICD is getting removed), and with the rune update, it’ll be possible to proc CW on rune-based regen, too.
