Following Jekk’s idea (and due to boredom), I came up with a concept for an ele spec. I didn’t conceptualize traits because I suck at those so feel free to spam ideas.

General idea: The shaman is an attempt at providing a role for condition damage for elementalists. The axe skills are very meaningful to enable this spec new form, but similar approach can be achieved by using some other weapons and/or utility skills. I tried to keep NUMBER OF TARGETS in mind, and put a key skill in water to promote a Healing+Condition synergy to the spec. You can see an intentional pattern across the weapon skills which tie into the burning condition.
The Inferno Avatar is an attempt at being a “Don’t Touch Me!” wandering fireball, much like Flame Legion Effigies seen in charr lore/maps, some traits can be created to promote tank-ish builds. The core idea is to prevent the shaman from staying for a long time in this form, and to accomplish that there’s a health depletion (3%/second). There is, however, traits to help with that.

Introduction

“I have my own rules of magic shaping.”

Shamans are Elementalists that studied further into the old school of Agression and learned to harness a powerful magical rite to become a living Inferno, while using an offhand axe to increase the pressure.

Mastering the full potential of the Shaman might be quite dangerous due to how fast their inner power shifts, but it is surely rewarding and strong. To support this spec, eles now have access to a brand-new type of skill: the totems.

Specialisation Mechanic
Shamans have access to a new powerful form called Inferno Avatar, which changes their weapon skillbar. Entering this form requires dealing a certain amount of condition damage to enemies, and will deplete 3% of the Avatar health bar over time (aka Death Shroud). Inferno Avatar will also periodically apply burning to nearby foes. Inferno Avatar health bar is reset upon leaving the form.

Effects While in Inferno Avatar Form

  • Inferno Core: Your body is being slowly consumed by fire. Depletes 3% of your health per second.

Inferno Avatar skills

  • Inferno Avatar: Enters Inferno Avatar form. Depletes health over time.
    • Hellfire(3s): Your presence periodically burns nearby foes. Your inner fire protects you from chilled.
    • Interval: 3 seconds
    • Burning: 1 stack, 5 seconds
    • Recharge: 30 seconds

PS.: Recharge starts after LEAVING the form.

Skill 1 – Lava Chains
Chain. Strike your foe with lava chains.

  • Damage: Low
  • Range: 200
    • Empowered Chains
      • Chain. Strike your foe with stronger chains, and empower you.

      • Might: 1 stack, 5 seconds

        • Scorching Chains
          • Chain. Whip your foe and apply burning.

Skill 2 – Meltdown
Rushes at the target to inflict burning, increasing the intensity if the target is chilled.

Skill 3 – Consume Flames
Ignites bright flames around you which periodically heals you, and convert burning on you and your allies into heal.

Skill 4 – Shadow Phoenix
Summon a Shadow Phoenix that swirls around the shaman, crippling foes and burning them. Destroy the Phoenix to deal damage and apply blindness to nearby foes.

Erupts a grand volcano at your location, then unleash a fiery impact that pulls enemies into the volcano and traps them, dealing damage and converting boons to burning.

Skill 4 – Flaming Capture
Send out a flaming axe at your target, dealing damage and applying burning. If the target is hit from behind, double the effect.

Skill 5 – Sharp Boomerang
Throw your axe in an elipse fashion that returns to you, stripping boons from enemies as it travels and dealing extra damage per enemy hit.

Water

Skill 4 – Mending Water
Charges a water burst that will heal and regenerate nearby allies, and damage nearby foes.

Skill 5 – Hot Stream
Unleash a hot stream in front of you that heals allies applying might if they have regeneration on them, and damages foes spreading their burning around.

Deliver an electric blow on your target and leap backwards, leaving them weak and creating a static link that will allow you to pull them.

Skill 5 – High Voltage
Electrify your axe and channel thunder on your target, making them vulnerable while channeling. Once finished, burn your target and launch foes around them.

Totem skills

Totems are ground-targeted, medium health, destructible artifacts. The goal for totem skills is to have a very particular identity, as such all of them stun the attacker when destroyed, apply an effect to 3 random allies/foes or yourself while alive, and change effects depending on varied criteria. Totems last for the duration of its recharge if not destroyed.

Water Totem
Totem. Summons a water totem that heals allies upon placed, and then apply regeneration to random allies. Heals for a short amount if the ally already has regeneration. Stun attacker if destroyed.
