My buddy made this…explain why I don’t see all of you running this kitten?!?!

just because you see lots of numbers on the screen doesn’t mean that you’re dealing good damage or actually kill something …

I noticed none of them died or got downed.

Besides using Perplexity’s “on interrupt” function (D/D or S/D), the issue with Condition Ele has always been as follows: The class is designed to rotate through Attunements, however, your best “Condition” Attunements are Fire and Earth. So, when you’re on C/D for either of those two, your Condition DPS is going to tank rapidly. Now, if there were a “Fresh Air” equivalent for those two Attunements, I could see a 30/0/30/0/10 Cond-Ele being a rather nasty customer … Although, I could probably somewhat get by with going Fire > Water (Chill as a cover Condition) > Earth.
Hmmm, anyone tried this bit out? If so, how well does it work out?

D/x dire ele with perplex runes are very good. run doom too. i run 30 earth 20 water 20 arcana. i hit about 1800 condition damage. the main damage is drakes breath which lasts quite a bit of time and you can cycle through the attunements to hit your confusion on rupts, and all those juicy cover condis. its by far the best ele build ive ever ran. i feel like a necro

Believe me, when i sit at 1800 cond dmg, you will see confusion numbers tick for 1k with 5 stacks. and that is amazing. then if you get the #4 on perp runes to proc and youre sitting at 8 stacks, i can see in the range from 1800 to 2k depending on might stacks. or you can get reallly lucky and have 13 confusion stacks and see numbers like 3k. its still strong if you got the cond dmg. it happens more than you would think, but less than you would imagine too. its a nice middle ground.

I’d rather stick to my 87% chance of critical hits and 5,000 damage for every hit I do. I shun condition Elementalists.

My personal preferance is mostly apoth d/d with some dire

That’s a lotta downtime there. Even worse if you have to leave your second Ice Bow behind.

I noticed GoEP was being used, prolly for Cripple condition cover, so that helps the whole “bye 25 stacks of Bleeding” thing eles tend to have trouble with.

erm… me spamming lightning whip with my ele in dungeons does more damage than this, I do 8k damage per second, that’s a lot more than what’s shown in the video.

Almost good. If we had any actually useful elites(ours need to be deleted and remade from scratch, they suck badly) it might just work.

In dungeons you can really get a ton of damage by just spamming lightning whip. 2k+/attack is easy to do, I’ve done it on the dummies in LA(that you can’t even crit on) without any food/stacks. With those your total DPS on 3 targets should be over 20k.

Scary to see the build I’ve been running since forever become a trend…
Hopefully it won’t get nerfed too hard…. let’s enjoy while we can… and pray.

The video tells me nothing, other than you can hit more than one person with AoE..
