Conditions ele?
Don’t bother. Condi eles are only as strong as the perplexity runes they throw on. Done better on any other class.

I tried it. In theory the damage is great. like 20k fire damage on dragons breath.
It would just never reach that sort of level in practice.
You do less damage and die just as quickly as a regular spec.
All it would take is a few changes to traits and such and i think Condi Ele could be really solid. As it is though we don’t offer enough conditions to cover the really damaging ones, well the only damaging ones – them being Burning and Bleeding
On paper, it sounds amazing. In practice it just lacks everything.
condition ele would need to apply more stacks of vulnerability, ability to stack intensity for burning, (there are a few torch skills out there that apply 8 stacks of burning for massive “burst” damage, according to their tooltips) and probably applying poison / poison fields in earth, to become viable conditionalist
My condition guardian does more damage than my condition ele.
Binding blade and huge amounts of burn, along with the toughness needed to effectively use sigil of geomancy beats condition ele by a long shot.
Don’t do it. It is the only class I would never use condition damage on.
In my experience, conditions are just little bonus’s that tack on to your other attacks. You really can’t rely on them to melt through anyone’s health pool. =/
80 Mesmer – Liara Tree Soni – Eternity
Sea of Sorrows

It says a lot about the class that in the Condition Meta where pretty much everyone runs conditions outside of Zergs and some times even in them as condition cleanses are really only effective while stacked that only one class can’t take part in it….
Condition elementalists don’t work, in my experience. For all of the above-mentioned points.
However, if you were looking for constructive suggestions, here’s an interesting D/D condi bunker ele for spvp

Thats what i would come up with, swap our Corruption for either a condition damage or condition duration sigil once you hit 25 stacks. The biggest problem with it, as with most possible ele condition builds – lack of condition cover.
The burning would be insane damage but it would be rather easily removed due to the lack of covering conditions. You could use Elemental Power in fire and then go into Earth or Water and still get the chance of burning or something
On the face of it, the damage would be insane, the problem the burning and bleeding would be the biggest threat but easily removed. Arcane Power in Fire would be great if we had the ability to use covering conditions.
I guess we could go with Arcane Power In Fire, proc all the burning and use Elemental Power in Air for more conditions, Water and Earth Auto attacks have conditions as well. Getting Churning Earth off with it would be insane damage though.

This build is so random, I cannot even begin to fathom how this build is meant to function. It violates so many norms of the ele class that, at first glance, I almost immediately closed the window.
But upon careful inspection, there does appear to be some method to the madness—albeit a convoluted one. It breaks so many conventions that I cannot state, with confidence, that it will not work.
It’s like you’re driving a train, from the caboose, down a rocky mountainside with a parachute strapped to your back. It makes NO sense… but I can’t say it’s not possible because I’ve never even come close to trying it.
Good Luck with that one

Yeah i am sure it could be tweaked and improved. The Daggers dont even have stats picked so several options. It does have VERY low physical damage but the Burning potential has is good.
Flame Axe could be replaced with something else as well. Mostly had it for the decent skills it has, the problem is the fact that it runs out to fast, though Might stacking with it could be decent
But as stated the biggest issue it will have is the lack of conditions. So Burning and Bleeding would be rather easily removed.
