Hi so i thought it would be neat if conjured weapons have a secondary skill in place of the weapon while it is on cd. For example when you conjure a frost bow. The frost bow utlility skill becomes a healing wave or something with its own cd of course. Earth shield could be a defensive skill, maybe reomve condis. jst a neat thought i had.

Oh also make conjure earth shield a stun break and im sure it might be looked at more:))

i think many of us would just like to see the conjure mechanics reworked to the point where they don’t feel clunky as kitten in PVP and don’t lock you out of your 20 class-defining elemental skills.

downed state is bad for PVP

why don’t they just combine them -_-
fire= axe
water= bow
earth= shield
ele= hammer.

maybe like an elite or something. you gain the bonus stats while attuned to that element, with lingering attunement that bonus will transfer for the 5 secs of lingering

Personally, I think when you summon a conjure, you should get a debuff which makes you unable to pick up conjure weapons for 1 min.

The reason being that I think conjure weapons should be a power-up, not something you go and use instead of your weapon completely, because doing so encourages a player to just ignore the elementalist’s class mechanics most of the time. Plus, I think Anet’s original intention with the summon is so that others can pick up your weapon, not for you to use it yourself.

this is a really good idea! though they’d have to rebalance the skills for each weapon, since it’s be quite OP with how it is right now.

Saying that FGS ain’t op is a bit… like a thief saying that stealth ain’t easy to achieve.
Frost bow is pretty good to, like lightning hammer which hit like a truck.
This leave earthshield which mechanism are very cluncky and really need some love from the dev and fieryaxe that seem almost balanced except that it’s field ain’t affected by our traits (It would be good that dev look into that).

Overall they are “skills” combining them would just destroy themselves. How do I explain that… They are listed as “conjure” which mean combining them would destroy this category and it would leave 3 skills slot which would be needed to be “conjure” (for the sake of balance).

Beside right now you deal more or less damage/utilitie with conjures depending on your build and attunment.

I don’t think any change are really needed.

No core profession should be balanced around an optional elite specialization.

I personally think s/x LH builds don’t seem….right though. Optimisation should not involve not using your actual weapon most if the time and just auto attacking with your LH.

Didnt mention fgs becaues its an elite. And it is very rare to see people running them. Esp shield mainly fb and axe are used and lh in pve

And im sure combining them has been talked about but some kinks would need to be worked out like charges or what happens when you swap attuenments with a conjure summoned

How do you exactly ignore your class mechanics when using a conjured weapon?

You mentioned that it seems wrong that you’re using a conjured weapon most of the time instead of your ‘actual weapons’ and they should be considered as ‘power ups’. Why can’t an elementalist that uses solely his conjures as his weapons be a thing? You even give up an utility slot or your elite slot just so you can use another weapon. When the game was younger people actually desired such a playstyle and theorized if it would be viable or not.
In other games there are entire classes designed around conjuring stuff and being reliant on those conjures to be able to fight so why shouldn’t we be able to do it with our elementalists?
Even lore wise it fits. The weapon that an elementalits wields is magic, the ‘actual weapons’ are just used to channel that magic.

Imo the conjured weapon mechanic itself is fine. FGS is op as kitten though. Axe and shield aren’t used much but they have niche uses so I’m not sure if they should rework them or not. People that want to have the conjures bound to attunements should remember that there are damage multiplier traits that only work in certain attunements.
