Q:
Conjured Weapons Useless?
I’ve used the fire axe, it does better single target damage then any of our spells when you take attack speed into account.
Question is, is that worth giving up all the utility we can have from out base skills and attunenent swapping, the answer is no.
What it should be, in my opinion, is a conjured weapon that stays with the enemy and auto attacks them.

I like them, but they just don’t have any Traits which make them do any additional damage or utility. All they have is just an additional 10 Charges, and for some reason that is a Master Trait.
I really do like the idea of Conjure Weapons, but after days and days of trying to make a viable build with them, I found them impossible to work with in a realistic competitive game.
Some of them are useful some of them aren’t. The Hammer is great for pve because of how quickly it blinds with its attack. You can take out a group of enemies in melee without taking any damage with it.
The Elite is also pretty powerful. But I have yet to find a use for the other three. I mean maybe the axe or bow would be useful for a MH dagger ele just for a backup ranged weapon, but thats about it.
And WTF is up with that shield, theres no reason you could ever have to use up all the charges on that weapon because the attacks are just so weak. I mean you could use it for the invul but then you would have to drop that shield like a rock. =P
There’s a few other traits that targets specific conjured weapons rather than conjure weapons in general, like soothing wave granting 6 seconds of regeneration with frozen bow.
I’m actually quite fond of frozen bow, the 4th & 5th skills can be quite useful. (though i would recommend using it in small bursts only.)

1. Looks cool
2. Fast travel, just spam 3 and 4 repeatedly
I like Frost Bow in dungeons for its Deep Freeze ability. Nothing like completely blocking out an enemy for a few precious seconds, right? Vulnerability is also quite awesome for tough enemies.
Lightning hammer, as Ergo Proxy mentioned, is a lifesaver when you’re stuck in PvE against a group of 3+ monsters. Get them together, start auto-attacking, and you won’t be hit once due to the AoE blind.
One of the biggest problems for ele is range flexibility: without the ability to swap weapons we are stuck at whatever range we chose before the fight. Conjured weapons can be good to provide range flexibility.
Also lightning hammer is good. Not “amazingly OP good” but “on-par with PVE Guardian” good.
Conjure Lighting Hammer:

The OP argues it’s the best PvE build for an Ele from level 40 to 80.
Frost Bow is mad awesome in pve. I always felt that it would get nerfed, the aoe dmg on the 4 skill i believe, is MAD.
