While strict rotations aren’t a good thing, if you want a basic setup, you have 2 major errors:
Drop ring of fire (fire 4) just before leaving fire attunement. Using Drakes Breath (fire 2) after fire 4 (a common mistake, one even I make often) wastes most of your fire field duration.
It’s better to go to earth after fire, and THEN water unless you need the heal ASAP. This is because you usually want to use cone of cold (right before swapping out of water because it take a long time and sitting in water isn’t very good) or maybe other defensive water skills which take time, while the earth skills are quick and have most of your finishers. Ideally, you are only in water and earth while using quick skills in that attunement, and leave them as soon as you done with those skills or start channeling (cone of cold or the rare situation where you use earth 5). Most of your time when not using combos is spent using lightning whip.
The ideal might-stacking rotation is:
Drop Fire 4 while proceeding 1 direction, then swap directions and dodge other way (so you finish inside the ring) and swap to earth mid-dodge. This will proc evasive arcana in earth so you get that blast. Then you can earthquake immediatly (earth 4). Then you throw out your rock (earth 3). From there you might be able to sneak in earth 2, or just use the earth leap (earth 3 again) to get your fire shield and swap right to water to get water 3.

Air 4 > 5
(gap close and knockdown)
Fire 3 > 4
(regap close, fire field x 2)
Earth 3 > 4 > dodge > 3
(immobilize, blast finisher, dodge is blast finisher at later level, leap for fire aura)
Could also then drop to Water for 3 (blast finisher) and us Arcane Wave (blast finisher)
Sigil of Battle will also proc might on attunement swap.

There are many options.
However you are still at a very low level.
Remember
- F3 and F4 both create spells u can blast
-A3 and E4 and E5 both create might blast stacks
-Advanced techniques = cast F2 around your enemies then F3 followed exactly byF4. The reverese dodge and while in mid air attune to earth so that u land on either F3 or F4 , and if you must use e5 but stop immediately so that u can enjoy the might blast
-Keep E4 for later
-u may also know that you can get 4 stacks in 1/2 a second by casting f3 followed immediately (within0.15seconds) with A3 so that your enemy is not only burning but also chilled.
So these are some of the ways it can be done.

You get an “Aura Might” pop-up, but the blast itself doesn’t happen if you don’t finish the cast.

Oh, great! It is confusing to get an “Aura Might” pop-up at the start as with some blasts with staff ele you get the pop-up when the skill finishes.

Correct, fire fields are the skills that leave the ground on fire. For d/d this is burning speed and ring of fire. Once you lay down a fire field, if you use certain skills within or through the field they give additional benefits. For dd you have 3 blast finishers (frozen burst, earthquake, and churning earth) and one leap finisher magnetic grasp→magnetic leap. Additionally most pvp eles use the trait evasive arcana which makes your dodge roll while attuned to earth an additional blast finisher.
Blast finishers grant 3 stacks of might when executed within a fire field. Leap finishers through a fire field give a fire aura which gives might and burns foes when they strike you. You can also use your finishers on allies combo fields, though dd only has access to fire fields on its own. Knowing how to combo with your own skills and with allies skills is very important and is the basis for many standard rotations.
