D/D roaming post patch
Stats pretty bad except the “decent” crit dmg and the healing power which is kinda useless anyway. Thanks for the build though!
This won t work for me…
You lack con cleanse, 2 heals…and you are investing on the most damaged trait by the patch (ferocity => crit damage)
i’d rather go:
30/0/0/10/30 or 30/0/10/0/30 or 30/0/0/20/20
You get the master trait in fire to clear cond, the new GM for blind…cleansing fire that cleanse and apply blindness…..
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
Which stats do you feel are lacking? I used ER to make up for the list condi cleanse which i think is more than enough on its own, but if i really need to i could trade mist form for cleansing fire. Evey single stat except boon duration is higher than the standard d/d build. The power looks really bad, but with the way eles can stack might, and the new runes of strength, getting up to 25 stacks of might is effortless. I tried to get high crit dmg because most people are saying theyll lose 20-30% of their crit dmg after the patch. This’ll put the crit dmg from this build to what the present d/d build was before ferocity

That looks like a pretty solid build.
After the patch, you can expect a straight 6% buff to all stats while losing critical damage.
Still, I’d rather go 30 fire instead of 30 air because of the blind on burning.
To be totally honest, though, what I will probably run after the patch is 30/0/20/0/20 and see if it will works, otherwise I’d go for 0/20/30/0/20.
Water Magic is so yesterday…
@LordByron: you really understimate the condition removal of Ether Renewal.
yes i do…..
because since i like roaming, it means dying before being able to heal. (for me at least)

As i said, i tried going for the new fire trait but i just couldn’t get the stats to work, i ended up with way to much power and not enough of everything else. If there was armor that had crit dmg without power i could’ve probably done it, but Anet dont wanna do that.
Lordbyron, maybe you should try something different if you die before you can use it? Maybe use it before your <25% health?

You don’t die while you’re healing. On a worse case scenario, you get so much DPS that it will surpass the healing even under protection and extra armor provided by Earth Magic, but in that case, you would have died anyway.
Also, I repeat it here. Critical damage is going to get an huge damage nerf.

ANet said that after the ferocity change, they will probably add stat combos with ferocity as main stat.
Anyway, after the patch, stacking ferocity won’t be the best choice for stats. I’d rather stack more precision then ferocity.
For instance, you can try to put more emerald/knight pieces
Right, thats why im trying to get it high, so when the nerf hits itll be 65-75% which is the same as the present d/d build. And with the 6% buff to celestial ill get ~100 extra toughness and vitality (not to mention all the other stats) which means i could either keep it or i could use different food to get the crit dmg to 75-85%
