While this post will likely get ignored in favor of many more similar to it, I would like to bring up a suggestion for the Tempest elite spec that I haven’t seen before. What if the Tempest overloads applied a new condition similar to vulnerability that increased the condi damage that the target takes by 4% per stack. Tempests could trait to increase the duration or amount of stacks that they get access to with their overloads, and this would give them access to a more offensive support capability by increasing the damage output of their own and allied condis. Plus, I’m sure that a whole bunch of Eles would be happy to have a condition to their own, when they can’t even put out as many burns as a non-magical profession (looking at you warrior).

Vulnerability was changed to affect condition damage as well in the June 23 patch.

I understand that vulnerability also affects condition damage, however it increases condi and flat damage both by 1% per stack. The idea behind this would be to give a greater buff to condi damage by itself.

Honestly, before even knowing the elite spec, I thought it would focus on condi. damage, specially because of data-mined sword main-hand skills. Even if it wasn’t sword, I still expected a full condi. spec.

Admittedly, I was a bit jealous when chronomancers received a particular boon of their own (alacrity), and thought it would be a pattern for the other elite specs as well. :P
