I mean really now, according to simple mathematics
Air – IV – 25%
Air Signet – 25%
Arcana – IX – 15%

That’s a whopping 65% without any speed skills, but why does it feel like I’m not moving that fast at all? Has anyone tested if it stacks that much or does it cap at some odd number?

None stack, only the highest applies.
And since you´re ele, just forget about those and roll with perma swiftness. Well unless you try to perma stealth the wvw JP.

The speed buffs do no stack.

Also, Windborne dagger is broken and will not give you a speed buff.

How do you perma swift by the way?

Ways eles can get swiftness:

Without traits

Staff air 4
Blast finisher in staff air 5
oh dagger air 5
Glyph of elemental harmony in air
Air elemental randomly

With zephyrs boon,
all of the auras
leap in ice or fire field
blast in ice field
any rune/sigil/trait that triggers auras

With inscription, all the glyphs cast in air

With elemental attunement, simply attuning to air.

Combining any of those should give any setup some kind of a access to perma/near-perma swiftness.

Zephyr’s Boon
Glyph of Elemental Harmony
Staff Air 4 and Air 5 + Blast finisher

Perma swiftness:
D/D, stay in Air.
Shocking Aura (Zephyr’s Boon), Updraft, GoEH. Plus RTL obviously.

With 30 Arcana you can get nearly perma swiftness with just GoEH and Updraft.

Thanks for the help! It’s just a shame the speed bonuses don’t stack. Wonder what the reasoning is behind that..

I imagine the reasoning is that +65% speed all the time is overpowered.
