Hey guys!

Ive been playing GW2 since beta, but have been on and off a lot. I am not sure where I am at gear wise. So right now my enthusiasm in the game is fading cause I have no idea what to do. The gear I currently have is a set of half arah, half COF berserker. Is the dungeon sets the best gear you can get? As for my staff ive got a 985-1,111, which I think is the best below a legendary which I am very lazy to grind for. I mainly do PvE stuff, so if anyone can help me and point me in the direction to go for getting new or upgrading my gear would help alot to keep me playing the game.

You can go for a full set of level 80 exotic gear, which by the sounds of things is what you have already. Make sure you get the accessories too, most of them can be found on the Trading Post.

I base most of my Ele builds on her builds, she’s a pretty reputable ele player so check her out.

There is a gear tier set after exotic, known as Ascended…you only really need ascended armor and weapons for high level fractals (not sure if you know about fractals, “Fractals of the Mists”, is essentially GW2’s current end game dungeon experience after the explorables), but they are also a good thing to go for after you’re fully decked out in exotics.
Legendaries have the same stats as ascended weapons, but they also have the ability to change stat combos.

Yeah ive done a couple fractals, its hard to keep doing them when im doing level 2 fractals and everyone is doing lvl 30+ haha.

Legendaries are very hard to get; in my opinion you’re better off with an exotic. The difference between ascended and exotic stats is suppose to be minimal and ascended is a very big grind (eg if you want a full sent of tailor armour it’s over 400g for bolts of damask alone… if you buy them). A full exo set should be fine, just make sure to do your daily and monthly achievements! These earn you laurels, which can be spent on ascended trinkets, among other things.

What stats you want is a cmpletely different matter. For PvE everyone uses a high DPS set because mobs shouldn’t kill you often (note: please don’t derail this thread into a discussion about the PvE meta), although personally I’ve never been kicked out of a party for running something that isn’t bezerker. IMO celestial is quite nice on ele, but tbh I’m not particularly good so you don’t have to listen to me

PS: As for fractals, you’ll soon catch up. My and a few friends are doing 12,13 etc and we find that challenging enough.
