Ok, so I’m pretty new, returning after a short stint playing and long off time. My third too is an Elementalist, and I’m confused about the downed state.

It seems any time I recover from being down, I’m immediately down again. Does this have something to do with vapor form? Am I supposed to stay put in the circle of fire that’s created when I’m downed or move away? Neither option seems to help.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

When you use vapor form you do not rally, you just become invulnerable for a short period of time. To rally someone you attacked needs to die or you can be ressed by your teammates.

yea your probably hitting vapor form which allows you to move, also if that is not the case remember Eles have low Health so you can rally and be put down quickly again.

It frustrated me when I first started as well! I was like, “Seriously?? What the heck keeps hitting me?” haha

Exactly! Now that I know it’s just part of the deal, I’ll just grin and bear it!

Also, the “circle of fire” you mentioned is probably because you have the Persisting Flames trait equipped, which creates a Lava Font at your location when you are downed. Fun fact, if you can stall in downed state long enough, you can active Vapor Form, and when you return to downed state, you can summon another Lava Font. Useless most of the time, but could be useful in PvE :p

It can wreck people in pvp too if you’re lucky
