Dragons tooth really should hit harder
For a skill that is so easy to dodge it does mediocre damage. on top of that maybe the water 2 skill should just be instant but longer cool down and less vuln because I rarely ever use that spell EVER.
It’s alright the way it is…
Just about every spell from staff is exactly the same in terms of speed. You can land a hit… you just have to combo to make it work.
But if there was an offer to increase the cooldown and increase the damage i’d take that trade in a second.
The CC from S/D and S/F has such a huge cooldown… having a DT up every 10 seconds is a waste.

I love Staff #2 on water. It’s decent damage, low cooldown and nice Vulnerability stacking.
I’m just happy the glitch of having this spell canceled after a dodge was fixed.

It should drop much faster for the amount of damage it does. If it was nearly instant, it’d be fine with the damage it does currently. Increase in damage would result in an increase in hang time I’m guessing. Keep the damage, lower the hang time.
Bare in mind Dragon’s Tooth is also a low cooldown blast finisher, which makes it uniquely useful in it’s own way, it’s a skill with nuance rather than just another damage inflicting spell with a different graphic.

it’s a skill you either cast on a downed body or for zoning people who’d like to touch you in melee range.
people who waste their endurance dodging DT are so silly because you just need to walk out from under it.

Dragon’s tooth hits like a truck, on a super low cooldown, in an AoE, with a blast finisher. It may be easy to dodge, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have it’s place (cleave on an enemy body, spike damage on cc’d foe, opportunistic use of fields etc…)… It doesn’t need buffs. It really is an interesting skill with a lot of interesting, even if situational, uses.

Dragon’s tooth should be remade to be ground targeted. As is, it’s just a blast finisher for PvP, there’s no other use. Scepter water #2 should also be remade to do something… anything. Then scepter might see more use in PvP.

I think he’s talking about scepter 2, which is in my opinion, literally the most worthless skill in the entire game. It doesn’t give high enough stacks for its ridiculous cast time, and is impossible to hit with in the first place.

It’s enemy targeted with no tracking, that isn’t nuanced, that’s worthless against any opponent that isn’t permanently rooted. Not to mention made more worthless in the passive 25% speed boost WvW meta.
If you slot the offhand dagger its only marginally passable because you can gap close, drop a field, and use it at point blank range, at least getting a blast finisher from a three ability combo.
If you slot the offhand focus you have to time both, which have their own different casting delays, to be under and over the enemy at the exact same time. Unless you have some prophetic power over how your enemy is going to move, hitting the enemy or the combo field is a virtual impossibility.

I think it should track a bit not a lot but it should shift some after its cast and in the air must like say aoe from boss fights from the LS where they would have aoe that appear and move a bit with there main target.
