Guild Wars 2

I left Gw2 a year ago mainly due to a lack of endgame and balancing issues. I managed to reach rank 300 in the sPvP leaderboards with my glass fresh air roaming build, but couldn’t stand seeing nerd after need in the patch notes. I loved playing ele, but playing theif was just so much easier for the roaming role ( Work twice as hard to get the same results right?) Anyway, I’ve come back after this long hiatus, and would love for some of you ladies and gentlemen to help me relearn the meta. What’s the favored build nowadays? Is 20 in arcana and water still mandatory? Thanks for the help!

d/d eles should kind of mostly beat thiefs , maybe u arent using celestial amu?

Of course I am. But talented boon stealing thieves often beat me 1v1. I am not very experienced though, so maybe with more training I would learn how to beat them. The thing is duel versus thieves don’t usually last long, so I would have to be a quick learner !

Try dueling an ele as a thief. Could help you pick up some tricks

20 water 30 arcana is the core. You can try different thing from there. Really grab a celestial ammy then strength runes or hoelbrak then experiment.

Only classes that should win against DD Celestial Ele are PU Mesmers (7/3), Shatter Mesmers(6/4) and Condi Necros (6/4). SD thieves are a 6/4 too if they start kiting you across all the map.
Other specs are just faceroll.
