So I’m fairly new to elementalist, but I know how they work and all about attunement swapping. I’m still leveling my ele but would like to run a fair amount a dungeon on him when he reaches 80. I already have a warrior and a necro at 80, so this is quite a step down in the health and armor.

After reading a few guides, this seems to be the build that I will run. The plan is too start with green knights and run dungeons until I have a full set of gear from the tokens only. So I would slowly be adding in berserker pieces.

Again I’m new to eles so if anyone with more expertise can adjust this build I would appreciate it

Your build must be missing Conjure Lightning Hammer, as your choice of weapons and trait distribution are not making much sense without it.
If you are confident not to get downed and have another party member provide Fury your build is sound.

If you find yourself get downed a lot and thus losing your Lighting Hammer try a Fresh Air build:

Hey there. Ok that build you got there is not bad, but as stated above a Lightning Hammer would increase your DPS, maybe you forgot it, but np.

This is your build with a few adjustments:
I took the fact that you are starting or are yet to start running dungeons in consideration, so instead of having Arcane Wave and Arcane shield, you can take Arcane Shield to give you a little survivability until you learn all the mechanics, and change your healing skill to Arcane Brilliance. This gives you 1 more blast to stack might when you need to and it keeps your Arcane Lightning buff up.
Sure Arcane Shield has a long CD but you will see that 30 secs is a long time to kill the boss, especially when you use Fiery GreatSword on him.
Next, you should take Signet of Fire.. This gives you 180 precision (more or less 8% crit chance), so with that build you get 60% crit chance unbuffed.. with a team that has a warrior with Banner of Discipline which gives another 8% crit , with fury (20% crit) and with your Lightning Hammer in your hand (LH gives you another 8% crit) you will have 96% crit chance! Now, you get Truffle Steaks that gives you 100 power and 70 precision.. and there you go! Critical hits so good!
Well that is pretty much the changes.. Ah! Well that one is up to you but the Conjurer Trait in Fire is good for long fights but you can switch it to something else in short fights, since it is not that useful.. You can try with Fire VII (Pyromancer’s Alacrity) so you have a little more freedom in case you need to drop your LH early.. Try them as you go.

This one has your own Vulnerability Generation while taking as many damage multipliers as possible. You can switch Fire VI for Fire II and Water VI for Water IV if needed and if you want to test it. Cheers to DEKeyz for this build aswell, this is a nice one.

And you can go staff aswell if you have already someone taking care of the might.. Its not as fun in my opinion but it does tremendous damage…

Your build is good man, no need to change the trait. But the skills need some reworking. First of all, S/D have a good burst damage, but terrible sustain dps. So if you don’t use lighting hammer, you will have a terrible build. I suggest that you replace lighting flash for it, especially since Flash is not that good anymore (use to be a break stun before).

The two other thing are your healing skill and arcane shield. You are fairly new to elementlist, so keep them for now. Elementalist meta can be hard to play at first so those two skill will help you survive while you get better on it. But eventually, you will want to change those two skill. S/D build are mainly for might stacking, so Arcane Brilliance as your healing skill will give you and your team more might. Arcane Shield is good in some situation, but you mostly want to have either Signet of fire or Frostbow in there. In the end, only your healing skill and arcane wave shouldn’t move of your bar. The rest of your utilities will change depending on the situation.
