I’m not sure how the bugs are getting worse without patches, but it’s really starting to get to me. It didn’t use to be so bad, but now I’m having to deal with multiple bugs every run I do. I constantly can’t move after using any of my mobility skills, lightning flash doesn’t break stun when I teleport, churning earth freezes mid animation and never casts forcing me to flash to start moving again, I randomly start moving like I’m snared with no conditions and no enemies, magnetic grasp and RTL take me past the target, and the list goes on and on. It is just truly ridiculous that not only are none of the ele bugs being fixed, they are somehow getting more numerous and more frequent despite there not even being any patches.

Please, if any devs stumble upon this forum, please, consider fixing elementalist bugs.

I support this post wholeheartedly. The bugs are getting worse and ruining my experience. I’m constantly frustrated, especially in WvWvW when I fared better if the bugs didn’t get in my. Hell, as fun as this profession is, I’m losing interest and starting to play a mesmer.

I, too, am begging the developers to TRY and FIX the bugs.

dagger earth 3…… I cant tell you how much I CC myself for 3 seconds with this skill. I think I’m just gonna stop using it all together which sucks because having an immobilize is so good. Nothing funner than fighting a GC thief and then stunning yourself for 3 seconds while he kills you with 2 heartseekers.

Also the RTL making you stop running when it ends.. very annoying.

I don’t get the over shooting like some others but Ive watched it happen in WvW to alot of people.

Looks like some of us are back to square one only using RTL for escapes again

yep im having trouble with the exact same skills. also fire 5 misses alot. and skills like lightning whip dont do damage against objects for example centaur weapon racks or treb’s in sPvP.

I’m not arguing!

I haven’t done any sort of PvP with my ele yet (waiting till 80) but I don’t recall ever missing much with Fire Grab. Maybe because people assume it auto-targets your enemy when in reality it’s a directional burst much like the fire breath.

Yea i feel the same. They really need to stop adding stuff and fix the skills i know some of the other classes have the same problem. and the dumb right click dose not help.

Agreed, these bugs are really annoying but I’m not expecting to be fixed any time soon as the devs seem more interested in other classes.

What’s wrong with fire grab?

You still miss way too often even if target is infront of you.

Also, I have 100% chance to self-lock myself to lupicus with magnetic graps and rtl. They never work there correctly.

I never really even use MG except to give myself fire aura (though in fire ring I’m mostly using earth 4 and 5 for might stacking).

Magnetic grasp and RTL are useless vs Fat enemies …
They need to increase/change/whatever the the mob model or something that u won’t be “obstructed” while trying to travel to the middle of him

I can tell you that if you live in Australia and try to use Fire Grab on anything that is moving you will miss 90% of the time due to lag. I even miss Fire Grab on immobilized targets that are just about to get out of immobilize, as far as I can tell they are Imob to me but free to them and have started moving so I miss. Some anti lag would be nice here, but would prob bugger up you Americans.

RTL I go past my target alot, quite annoying when defending on a large point, such as graveyard and trying to close the gap to someone on the other side but miss and end up not moving out of the ring.

MG I have found self stuns you in 2 situations, 1 the target model is physically larger then the hit box, such as the Mad King, any large mob and svanir or the chieftain. This puts you in the pull animation for full duration if cast at point blank and slightly lesser the further you are away. The second situation is lag I think, I use it on a foe who to me is above a level (e.g. someone standing above the ramp to downstairs in the clock tower and I’m on the point) but to them they must be down the ramp. As the skill hits my character is sent into a left right repetitively ninja run for 3-5 seconds.

This. My Ele has been literally unplayable since they changed the implementation of RTL.

I’ve reported this bug twice now, the first time being ~4 weeks ago and still nothing, no fix nor even acknowledgement of the problem.

My experience with Fire Grab is that if the target’s not in front of you when you start casting it, it won’t hit even if you move.

The not being able to move after using mobility skills is the one I am really frustrated with at the moment! Its % is increasing for sure.

I have teleport on a thumb button on my mouse. I’ll spam it to get out of cc and it won’t work. I don’t really get that. Is the game just really slow when playing an ele?
Yesterday I was playing around with a staff and I had to spam every ability because they wouldn’t go off on keypress or release.

RTL and and Magnetic Grasp are consistently overshooting my target, making it difficult (if not impossible) to perform a follow up move that actually hits the target…

Magnetic Grasp is also back to acting like a self root when you use it at anything less than full range…

Man this is so true I would have won like more than 50 if firegrab didn’t miss. Also magnetic gasm in clocktower leaves you unnable to move for like 2 seconds fire cone an water two misses sometimes too

Lol, none of the bugs of the OP happen to me. Only today I had an overshooting of RTL in 100 hours of ele gameplay. That’s not that much but 100 hours of D/D should have exposed some bugs, which it didn’t.
