Guild Wars 2

As the title states, I plan on duo’ing with a warrior, and I have a few questions about elementalist if someone doesn’t mind answering. Thanks in advance.

1) What build should I use? I know there are different ones for PvP, but looking for one for PvE (leveling, exploring, dungeons, etc.), keeping in mind that I’m duo’ing with a warrior. I’ve seen different builds, but not sure at all which to use.

2) With the weapons to that build, do I buy one from the trading post, or will I get one from quests leveling? I guess the same question would apply to the other pieces of my gear as well.

3) Crafting – Which crafting professions should I take? And, do I start on them from the start? I’ve seen some people say wait until level 70 since crafting gives you levels, but I wasn’t sure if they would help me with gear while leveling if I started on them early.

1 – It doesn’t really matter in pve too much to be honest, staff is good for support, d/d is good sustained damage, s/d is good burst and stacks a lot of might at melee range which could help your warrior buddy. I’ve ran all in PvE without that much difficulty. Utilities wise, Lightning Hammer is amazing in PvE. Traits, Arcane is always a safe bet.

2- I buy armour and weapons at every x5 level, 15,25,35 for example

3- Crafting i’d wait till 60 or higher then use a guide

Do you know of a good S/D build to use then? If so, can you link it or tell me where to find it?

For my s/d I personally use 0/30/0/10/30, with arcane blast (LH for PvE), arcane wave and myst form with the FGS elite. In Air I use VI,VII,XII. In water I use V, in Arcana I use V,VI,XI.

In my armour I have ppt with beryl orbs, zerker weapons with air and force sigils, and my trinkets are cavs for the most part.
