Ele is difficult enough...
Yea this happens when LF puts you somewhere like slightly into the terrain or something that then prevents your movement. The only way out is LF again, or just die.
Its not class specific, but does feel like a slap in the face when you are already busting your hump to not be a free-kill already.
Updraft and fiery greatsword whirl seem to help for me
Without this lightning flash + random immob bug!
At least 3-4 times every play time I get this bug. I cast lightning flash, then get immob for no apparent reason.
Anyone know how to get out of this invisible immob lol???
It’s not just Ele it happens for alot of the classes. Not even sure what causes it tbh.

I notice this a lot more with my human ele than my asuran. Same with the delay after RTL, my human gets stuck more than my moogle.

Might have something to do with the humans. Mine is human as well, happens at the worse times

Are you sure it’s hard enough to play an ele? They sure didn’t seem to think so when they gave us this new “healing skill” that doesn’t heal much unless you damage 5 targets, for which it will heal 20% more per target if they don’t block your heal, which in turn will then heal more but only if you manage to cast a water field under yourself before and don’t get interrupted in the 1 sec long cast time.
I mean Arcane Brilliance (or whatever it’s called) should win an award for the most uselessly complicated healing skill in a video game. I’m quite sure they will look at it in a few months and wonder why they implemented such a complicated healing skill for the most complicated class to play.

I get the same issues with riding the lightning. Half the time when I use it I come out of it a smooth motion that let’s me continue forward while others others times at the end it forces me to stop and movement commands I use after take a second or 2 to trigger.
I only get imo if I use lighning flash when I’m stunned.
This bug, general skill lag and just general low hp (thief fodder) is what keeps me off my ele in WvW. I also feel like my damage is very low compared to other classes I play, but that could just be because I die so easily with hybrid gear.
I guess a staff ele probably is the intended build for WvW, so IDK if it will be that big of a priority to change.

It is pretty much the only heal skill in the game, which doubles as an additional attack while also being a blast finisher. Combine it with water fields and you are good to go. I’ve already seen pvp builds, which make good use of it.
Compared to the ranger spirit, it’s far from useless.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.
It’s also got a very fast activation and you can trait it do do even more (AoE blindness for example).

You guys aren’t playing the Ele properly. Ele does the most damage in wvw out of any class, in Zerg situations. I rack up fifty kills every two hours of wvw play as a staff Ele, on the crappiest server in existence. Eles do massive damage under the right conditions, and its easy to learn how to look for those conditions.
1. Join with your Zerg.
2. Wait too your commander attacks the enemy Zerg.
3. Drop lava font and fire fireballs
4. Wait for that lull where the enemy wave stops moving, then drop meteor swarm
Insta kills!
Focus Flame Burst on opponents getting killed to tag them, finish of downed enemies with fireballs and lava fonts. NEVER STOMP. That’s not your job and is a waste of time she you could be tagging and finishing off other stragglers.
Eles do massive damage under the right conditions, and its easy to learn how to look for those conditions.

All that isn’t possible in PVP. There is no zerg to protect you and without the zerg eles are cannon fodder, even in WVW.
