I’m a time traveller and I can confirm this is true.

I wish Ele specialization would be dual staff wielding with new possibilities of customization with main hand and secondary hand.

Don’t want to sound like I’m jacking a thread but ideally I would like to see specialized elementalist like in gw. Give a general aura bonus for being in said specialization that passes to also your team mates. Being I enjoyed gw1 ele more so than gw2.

Probably new specialization routes are going to be something like sword/focus, and such.

Clearly the ele specialisation will be the sandwichmancer. It’s new weapon will be the torch, with various elemental sandwich preparation techniques.

i believe specialization for ele would be arcanist, since we only have a few arcane skills, who knows, they may throw us for a loop and surprise everyone.

We will get a sword, in my opinion.

I was thinking mace or torch seems the most realistic. Sword is too much like dagger. Eles already have enough range to get a gun or bow. The gs is going to necro. The shield doesnt make much sense. The hammer maybe, but going to the reverent.

I hope use greatsword. Elementalist need a second melee weapon. And all of same armor users has greatsword. ( mesmer, necro with specialization)
I tyi k heavy armor classes use hammer and leather armor classes use pistols.
The invoked weapons need changes or eliminate in the system to use. Really , who use invoked weapons?

I really think it will either be sword mainhand, or torch offhand. Although torch offhand really makes no sense when attuned to anything except fire.

I too think it’s gonna be mainhand sword. Guns just don’t match the elementalist theme. Personally, I hope it’s greatsword, but since we already have the elite I think that’s not gonna happen.

Torch would be lazy as heck though…I would rage. It’s not like we don’t have enough ways to set things on fire already :p

As an owner of Quip, I really want the pistols to be true. Spellslingers should be a thing in GW2. It would be amazing!

Yes please. I too want spellslingers in this game. Also, pistols on a caster class is rare, so why not buck trends with spellswords and give us spellslingers?

Necro’s are already getting the greatsword, so it’d probably be pretty redundant to have ele also get GS, especially when our elite is a GS conjure.

I’m thinking we’ll get sword. Which would be great. I hope it’s sword with a really awesome skillset.

They made daggers incredible on ele, so I have faith they’ll make an awesome swordset. If it’s a sword.

I’ve been playing Super Smash Bros and Fire Emblem Awakening, so I’m kinda biased toward spellswords right now.

I have in mind something like Arcane Warrior a Ele using only 1h sword 2nd hand gets free, and u get all 5 skills from that sword not like other clases only 3.

IMO, we will get an off hand because it’s 2×5=10 new skills.

Main hand would be 3×5=15.
