As an ele, do you ever focus down phantasms and minions, or do you stick to the player? I find the damage is really high in the minion master builds for mesmers and necros, and all the body blocking cuts down on my damage output. Since the patch, I’ve found myself quite capable as an ele, and have solo’d a number of classes now, but when a mesmer stuns me and seems to OHKO from there, I still want to say the ele needs to be buffed.
This one mesmer really had my number. Stunned, immobilized, flurried, mind wracked. How do you counter that? I run armor of earth and arcane shield, but the mesmer is invulnerable to the shield blast during flurry.
I’m running 30-0-10-10-20 which gives me added fire blasts and maximum protection uptime.

Best to cleanse the immobile, dodge to pervent it from happening, or arcane shield/immune through the damage. Focus on the mesmer, using AE to kill any clones around him and keep the pressure on him. Attempting to kill clones will give him more time to dps you.

Just burn them all down with aoes.

Focus the mesmer at all times, don’t waste time on phantasms. I run higher water, so i cleanse on switching to it and can free myself up from most immobilises. If not i’ll use lighting flash to get out of it, you remain immobilised, but he can’t flurry you.

Which is why I like 30 arcane better, you just get more aoe, more condi cleanses. It’s what you want, more power? or more defensive abilities. I do better with 0,0,2,6,6 than i did with higher offensive specs.

Stick to the player always. There’s no point focusing on mesmer clones because they can spam them out infinitely, and minions can also be easily re-summoned.

I tend to focus the phantasms down while the mesmer is stealthed. Otherwise your better off focusing on the mesmer

Kill Phantasmal Duelist asap.The rest will go down with aoe.Berserker is very easy to dodge.He will eventualy die from aoes aswell.

About necros…focus the necro.You have to stick on him,never let him freecast.The further away you are from him the most likely it is for you to lose.

Agreed with this. Some phantasms are high priority to kill but most clones can be left to AoE or ignored.

Necro minions are way to strong and low damage to waste time on.

The HP of engi turrets seem to greatly depend on the build they’re running but in general, really annoying.

Cleave cleave cleave. Focus on the player, but make sure you’re positioning yourself in a way that you can hit everything with Blazing Speed, Drake’s Breath, Fire Grab, etc. It’s all about positioning. When the mesmer goes stealth, Earth 5 can take care of all of the clones.

Target the Player. The rest are distractions.

I focus down the minions but mesmer I just chase the intire time constantly doing aoe damage around me. Clones and phantasms melt before they reach me. Also important to continually cleanse while chasing a condi necro or mesmer. Condi minion necromancers though are really tough to beat 1 on 1. The minions already do a ton of damage and if they then apply a condition burst…. well its scary alright.
