¸ = Element swap
I guess your too busy having a life to rebind your keys.
I guess your too busy having a life to rebind your keys.
I use the rest for 5-0
I rebinded E,Q, Mouse 4, Mouse 5, Y, X
Then use shift+1 through shift+4.
And most of Ele’s problems come from RANDOMLY swapping elements, rathern than strategically swapping elements. This idea promotes bad gameplay.
I rebound them to Z, X, C, V.
Worst idea ever.
That works.
I use Q, R, Z, V for my attunements. I never have to look down.
Rawr Naga. 6-button style gives me autorun, push to talk, plus 4 elements, just took a bit to learn them.
However, sometimes (95% of the time) we just don’t care which element to attune to, we just want ANY element because of CD’s
I have never found that to be the case. I always think about which element I’m switching to and why I’m switching prior to doing so.
If you have a life, like me, you probably often check on your keyboard which F1-F4 are you choosing, because you don’t know 100% for certain on which button is your finger
I won’t spend the $60 or more to buy a fancy gaming mouse, I simply see no need for it. I just rebound my attunements to Shift+1 through Shift+4 and rebound all my 6 through 0 skills (utility through elite) to “R” (for heal), shift+R, “A” and “D” (I unmapped “A” and “D” from turning cause only bad players keyboard turn).
Basically my fingers never stray to far from 1-5 and the movement keys.

An element up/down button that could be bound to the scroll wheel would be great for a lot of people if you could define the order in which the elements scroll. It would also mimic the next/prev weapon function in a lot of shooters.
Example:
I’m in fire. Mouse wheel up gets me water, mouse wheel down gets me earth. If I really want air, I can hit F3 or the a bind I’ve set.
As it is, I keep F1 for fire, and have 3 Naga side buttons defined for water/air/earth. But it doesn’t flow as well a “next weapon” setup would
I rebound them to Z, X, C, V.
qft did exactly the same thing, the Fkeys are way too far away for quick reaction based switching I also set Q and E to utility slots 7 and 8 with mouse4 set to 6 and wheel click set to heal5.
I only have a RAT3 mouse with two side buttons but on of those buttons is slightly far back so I can’t flick it on the fly without moving my hand back so I only use the forward key which gives me only 4 mouse buttons to play with but with that said the only ability I don’t have quick access to is the elite and for the most part they have long cooldowns.
As for only switching because of cooldowns once you get used to the timing you can effectively keep an internal clock as to when spells come off cooldown so you know roughly when is a good time to start switching over instead of switching all the time just because the larger spells in that atonement are on cooldown.
If you have a life, like me, you probably often check on your keyboard which F1-F4 are you choosing, because you don’t know 100% for certain on which button is your finger
This is a fairly huge assumption. Many of us who have lives don’t have this problem. I spent $80 on a Razer Naga over two years ago, and have my F1-F4 keys instead keybound to Shift+1 through Shift+4, and I know exactly which button my thumb is on, because I use my sense of touch.
I also have already memorized, without trying, that it’s Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, in that order.
How does any of that mean I don’t have a life?
You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.
