Elemental Transformation...
Oh please no. You know what would be awesome? An actual elite spell that WE cast. Not something a pet does. Or another weapon that replaces our 20 spells. Or something that transforms the most squishy class into a defenseless whirlwind. An actual spell. That would be awesome.
I would like to see more what Lelouch is talking about. I think we need an element-specific spell cast. Kinda like Glyph of Storms except way more intense. Like Fire could be little fire tornadoes AoE, Air could be Lightning Bolts causing confusion, Water could be a Whirpool, or maybe a Tidal Wave that knocks people down, Earth could be a constant tremor AoE that knocks people down periodically and causes bleeding, etc. I don’t know, just some food for thought.

We already have an elemental and we already have a transformation. What we need is a “normal” elite, like a signet, or an arcane.

The Elemental is rather weak (imo) to even be considered an Elite. Tornado doesn’t again really offer that much outside of specific situations.
ALL our elites suck, that’s no secret. Elementals could as well be a utility spell, they don’t really do anything fancy besides adding damage and maybe a heal. Tornado is ridiculous, a transform that gives zero defense and really bad (and localized) damage, all on the class with the least survivability. Greatsword is probably our best elite, but only because it has 2 mobility spells which we crave so much after RTL was nerfed into the ground, through the earth, all the way into china.
Noone cared for Greatsword before the RTL nerfs.
My MOST WANTED elite ever is:
Glyph of Arcana, instant-cast, kitten CD
Passive: +15% boon duration or +15% intelligence
Active: Recharge all attunements
However, I would totally support the ability to go SUPER SAIYAN in PVE, but only if I get some awesome SUPER SAIYAN aura around me. :-) Just for giggles.
Also, our elites aren’t all that bad. FGS has some incredible damage AND mobility, and Tornado has great uses either breaking up groups, whirl-finishing all kinds of files, super-charging meteor shower, throwing people off ledges, or getting an almost guaranteed decap on any node but mid of Foefire.
Blasphemy! Elementalists aren’t Saiyans, they’re clearly Avatars [bridges between spirits and man, not silly blue space smurfs]!
Some kind of signet as elite skill which counters conditions would be great for both PvP and WvW!

Elite skill:
Arcane attunement. Temporarily gives the user a supreme attunement to his current element
Air: Tether onto your target for 10 seconds (uses scepter air 1 animation), target is crippled and weakened for 1 second every second, you gain superspeed for 1 second and 5 might for 5 seconds every second the tether remains. Leash distance 1500, cast range 1200.
Water: You and 5 allies within 600 units radius gain 30 seconds of frost aura. Cures a condition on you and allies every second for 10 seconds. Initial heal per boon on you: 450
Earth: Knockdown adjacent targets every 3 seconds for 10 seconds. Grants immunity to critical hits for 10 seconds to you and 3 allies in 600 range.
Fire: Deals point-blank aoe damage each second (double to burning foes). Damage increases linearly per second during 10 seconds. Starting at 200 and ending at 2000.

The problem is they are too situational. Tornado also sucks in every situation you die in SECONDS in any situation you might want to use it as it puts a HUGE mark on you to be focused down as you have zero defence.
FGS again, situational. mostly used for mobility and Elemental is just simply too weak to even be considered an elite.
We need a super cool earth elite that doesn’t make me feel bad for instagibbing 3 people trying to res their downed teamate with the FGS fiery rush + LF glitch.
Elite from the idea behind Magnetic Shield, resonate the ground below you for minor initial damage (900 search radius) that applies a DoT (would scale very low with your condition damage stat just like guardian’s Binding Blade). For 5 seconds enemies have a debuff that cannot be removed while dazing them for every pulse of the DoT and refreshes based on the # of targets (max of 5) in the radius when the elite was activated for an additional 1 second per target (max 10 seconds).
Sub ability
At any moment the elementalist can stop the vibrations, knocking down each target afflicted by the DoT (max range 1,500).
So this elite would be fairly useless 1vs1 unless you somehow want to combo the knockdown with Grounded trait to setup a burst

i’d love to see a AoE elite that caused 20 seconds of burning and increased damage with every pulse… kind of like combining searing heat and savannah heat from GW1 into one skill. [of course everyone would want attunement based condition… chill (water), bleeding(earth), vulnerability(air)] or better yet, a 20-30 second storm that applies all four of those conditions on every impact. base it off of how meteor shower works, except make the “meteors” meaner looking, like frozen rocks, with a 400 storm radius, 180 impact radius. (okay maybe i’m dreaming now, but with assumed typically long elite 180 second cooldown, it better be kittening awesome.) and yes, i actually spelled out k i t t e n i n g.
and i would love a trait giving ele’s a 1500 range.
